It was just magical to watch the sun setting over the stream and the walls of the castle at Nunney from my bedroom window. I loved the hotel. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the evening meal and breakfast were great. It's a quaint hostelry in a lovely old village.

Room Tip: Ask for one with a view to the front.

Can thoroughly recommend The George for friendly and accommodating staff, where they presented us with a magnificent Sunday Lunch. The best restaurant roast sirloin of beef I've ever tasted!
The weather was fine, and having pre-booked, we enquired as to if there was shade in the car park for dogs!! No problem, they laid up a table for 8 outside in the walled garden. Everyone was happy. Dogs and children looked after to perfection.
Thank you for a memorable meal and visit to your beautiful village.

Stopped here for lunch with my mum, grandmother and new baby. Made to feel very welcome. We were spoilt for choice with what to order. We settled on smoked haddock, crushed potatoes and a poached egg. Very enjoyable meal in nice surroundings.

We stayed at this hotel as we were attending our sons wedding nearby. The hotel was everything we imagined it would be, old'e world on outside, modern but quirky inside. The hotel was spotless & food great. The staff were excellent & prices about right for the area.
Our son even had a view of the castle from his window. We would certainly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Choose the front of hotel for the original 17th century part and get view of castle

Charming, individual, small hotel in the Somerset countryside. Village with its old castle and church are very picturesque. Walking trails nearby. Lively pub in the evening; food interesting and chef is adventuresome and usually successful. Has a lovely outdoor patio area when the weather is warm.

Room Tip: I had a room in the back on the upper floor; it was quiet and had a great view of the church and castle. As the hotel has stairs and no lift, this is not a place for the physically impaired.
