My partner and I stumbled upon this restaurant while strolling through Briançon. The menu sounded so appetising we decided to give it a try, and we were not disappointed! We love trying new food, and we sampled the Nepalese dishes. It was full of subtle flavours, spicy but not overwhelmingly so, in a lovely atmosphere, and the service was perfect. I warmly recommand it!

Went to Lou Grand Caire as a meal out with friends. Off the Grande Gargouille which can seem a bit touristy sometimes. We sat inside as the was a chill in the air and had some lovely food. he meal of the day meat was a touch tough but in all other respects a lovely evening. Mademoiselle probably from Tibet spoke good English and was able to translate most of the menu which was a great help as our friends were Lithuanian. Would recommend. €140 for four including a bottle of wine.

We ate at this little restaurant after reading positive reviews and although we weren't disappointed it didn't wow us.
We arrived at around 7.30pm and the place was empty apart from the owners and a waitress who I assumed was their daughter. A party of four English guys arrived about 45 minutes after us which added a little much needed atmosphere.

The place itself is very cosy and comfortable and we were given a warm welcome by the owners.

We both chose the pakora starter which II would recommend as we both enjoyed it a lot. A little more spice would have been good but we do realise that they are catering for the French palette so they are forgiven for that. We both then went for a beef stew type dish which was part of a 19.5 euro menu and the flavors were very nice but there was a lot of grissle on the beef which spoilt it for both of us.
Desert was nice and overall we enjoyed the meal.

I would say that they should try and space the courses out just a little as they did arrive at a rapid rate and we felt we were being rushed a little although that was not the case in an almost empty restaurant.

Essentially this Restaurant has a a pretty traditional Savoyard Menu that is interspersed with Nepalese/Indian cuisine however each has been subtly influenced by the other. I'm not usually a great fan of fusion food however the quality and attention to detail of the dishes really one me over. The Service is both friendly and efficient.
