Have eaten here on 3/4 occasions over a few years in the bar and restaurant. The food is variable but I think that is to do with what you choose rather than the cooking. The Trawlerman's Catch is more Captain Birdseye - just breaded and deep fried seafood so a bit boring but they had a special fish menu on last time we went and had beautiful lemon sole with vermouth sauce, new potatoes and veg. Personally I would find 3 courses way too much - portions are big. One of our party had sea bass served with mash and still got side serving of veg including new potatoes - what a waste of food and there was no way you would want mash and new potatoes on the side. The waitress was lovely but the person who welcomed us didn't smile at all. So some good some not so good. If it was all the high standard then I would give it very good but not with the inconsistency of food and service,
