Northern Landing and Sheshe are absolutely wonderful. We spent two nights there. The Inn is beautiful, the rooms lovely, the beds so comfortable and the hospitality is the best. Yummy breakfasts too!

All the recommendations were right -on of things to do and places to eat.

We hope to go there again and highly recomment it.

We picked this B&B based on reviews and our expectations have been exceeded, we had a wonderful vacation and met a very special family!!! The hosts, Sheila and Peter, made us feel very welcome and went out of their way to make sure we are comfortable and have all we need. Sheila cooked up amazing breakfasts and Peter took us around the lake Rosseau on his boat. Sheila's nephew, Joseph, spent time with our two boys, helping them light campfire and showing how to fish. The Dormitory Suite was great, had its own well-equipped kitchen and a deck with barbeque. Bring food supplies if you plan to cook as large grocery stores are 20-30 minute ride from Rosseau. Driving from Toronto we stopped at Costco at Barrie, right off highway 400, to pick up perishables (milk, cheeses, meat, eggs). We took Sheila's recommendation to get a day pass at Clevelands House resort in Port Carling. It' s a 20-minute ride from the B&B, there is inflatable water park, parking right by the beach, chaise lounge chairs and umbrellas, and water park day pass is only $10. We went there twice and the boys really enjoyed swimming, jumping, sliding...The best vacation ever, we will be back!!!

Room Tip: Dormitory Suite is best for families

What a lovely find! Stayed for four nights at this wonderful BandB. Accomodations, ambience, cuisine, all five star!
Sheila and Peter could not have been better hosts. Truly a memorable event . Travelers worldwide...we highly recommend!
Used the canoe to travel downriver to Lake Rousseau to the Farmers Mkt...how unique was that!

Room Tip: Any and all rooms have beautiful views.

we brought our daughter for our first vacation (she's 20 months). we had a wonderful time. Sheila was so welcoming, and even offered to watch the baby monitor while we went in the kayaks. We had a campfire- and sheila's daughter and nephew joined us and they were great conversationalists! We visited port carling, did some shopping. took our daughter to this amazing park there which she loved! and to the beach to go swimming. sheila's house is amazing- tiered decks are perfect for relaxing. there was also a daybed on the stream that was great for reading. Breakfast was so good- i can't explain it. first of all she made us a three course breakfast every morning and she made our daughter kid friendly food as well. great experience. my mom is already going to book her next vacation there, and we will definitely go back.

We went up and stayed at Northern Landing for 2 nights/3 days and enjoyed every minute of it. We started out by following the exact directions given to us by the owner, Sheila and they took us right to her door. We arrived to the most beautiful home and were greeted at the door by Sheila who is the most gracious hostess.
We booked the "Danby Room", a beautiful room very tastefully decorated and fully equipped. It had a fireplace, Juliet balcony, A/C, ceiling fan and en suite washroom. Everything and more that you could ask for.
The breakfasts are OUTSTANDING with food you're sure a culinary chef is making for you (although Sheila says it's all just from learning and watching her Mom). Delicious beyond words. Breakfast is so filling you don't need lunch.
The grounds are immaculate and offer many choices (canoe, kayaks or just relaxing in a nice comfy chair) depending on what you feel like doing. We took the canoe out for 3 hours and went around the Lake as well as the river. Looking at the boat houses were a favorite past time.
This was our first time staying at B&B in Muskoka and found it exceeded our expectations. We most definitely will return to Northern Landing for another weekend in the near future.
Hats off to Sheila (and her husband Peter) for a the beautiful piece of paradise they offer in Lake Rosseau.

Room Tip: All rooms are beautiful but the Danby Room is the premiere room in the B&B
