We were very pleased with our 4 days stay with Siane and Mike. Great hosts, full of useful local information. Close to the ferry terminal and Angus Campbell's boat to St Kilda. And we had a resident Corncrake living next door who was obvious from his call but not to see. Great food, comfortable, clean and spacious accommodation and a couple with genuinely friendly personalities.

Many thanks for your very kind comments and we are glad that you enjoyed your stay with us and enjoyed our local Hebridean hospitality. Unfortunately the Corncrake is very shy and still has not been seen but our croft has a variety of lovely wildflowers and a mix of other wildlife for our guests to see.

We were on a cycling holiday of the Western Isles, so needed a B&B not too far from the ferry terminal at Leverburgh and - as we couldn't just jump in the car and drive for half an hour or so to some convenient restaurant - somewhere handy for dinner as well.

We really felt that we had hit the jackpot at Ben View. Siane & Mike Green haven't been doing B&B that long, but they have managed to provide everything you could wish for. Our room was spacious and well-appointed, comfortable beds and a fabulous en-suite (complete with bath - just what you need to soak away the aches after a day's cycling) and breakfast was just what we needed to set us up for the next stage.

The weather was pretty vile that evening, and Siane offered to drive us down to the Anchorage for dinner - we rather wished that we had accepted her kind offer, as cycling back in pouring rain & into the teeth of a howling gale (the locals called it a moderate breeze) was hard work, but at least we were able to sink into the tub afterwards.

To anyone who's planning a holiday in the Hebrides, we would say break your journey here. Siane & Mike will make you very welcome, the rooms are comfortable, and the breakfast is lavish.

This bed and breakfast is one of the best I have been in. The facilities were first class, room superb, spotlessly clean and well equiped. The hosts were lovely, very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The area is very relaxing.
