When visiting the archeological site at Ephesus, another exceptional site is the churh of St John The Baptist. This whole area of Turkey is steeped in biblical history. This church, which is similar in size to the Ayasofia Church in Istanbul is an amazing archeological treasure. The area boasts the wonderful archeological site at Ephesus as well as the final residence of the mother of Jesus (Mary). This whole visit is an amazing adventure and one of the truly ancient masterpieces that can still be visited in the world today. Altough St Johns' body has since been relocated, the whole site is a great place to visit for those who have any historical understanding of the Bible. This area is a treasure and a tour that you should put on your ''Bucket List'' of treasures to see before you die.
