This is a great place for a walk with or without a dog. It is such a fantastic part of the west country, a great pub and beautiful views.

You can spend hours here walking and enjoying the countryside.

I love the West Country

What a find! All our children and dog ran off and we hardly saw them for hours , they loved all the hills and hiding places!

A great place for children to explore. There are surfaced paths that are fairly level and also many small narrow trails to follow taking you to the top of the steep sided hills. Whichever path you follow there are glorious views even on a dull day.
There are well maintaned picnic tables and also a pub which is dog and child friendly with plenty of seating both inside and out. We have eaten there on occasions and the food was good. On our most recent visit we sat outside and had a coffee and took in the view.
Whenever we are in the area visiting our grandchildren we go there and always have a good time.

A historic site and long term quarry supplying the local Ham stone from cottages to the local stately home, Montacute house. Pleasant walks and grand views over the countryside, the local dog owners take over at weekends and I couldn't think of a better place to exercise them. Late afternoon on a Sunday, the pub was heaving so we went to the Kings Arms in Montacute for a quieter pint.

Great walks and loads of nooks and crannies for the kids to explore. Very good for those relaxing dog walks and also great views of Somerset.
