“Little City great Inn to visit”
Reviewed January 2, 2013

We had a great stay at the Armstrong Inn. The Staff and the Owner are very happy to have you as their guests.
The Inn has been in Armstrong a very long time, but they seems as if they were a new business, pleasing all visitors with exceptional service.
Great weekend specials.

On August 30th and 31st, 2012, our class of 1962 celebrated a 50 year school reunion in Armstrong and rented the banquet room in the Armstrong Inn for the occasion. The Armstrong Inn catered the event providing wonderful appetizers on the first day and a delicious dinner meal on the second day. The room easily accommodated our group of 38 people with coffee and condiments available at all times, plus a DVD player and a restaurant and a pub within the building for added convenience. It was a happy and memorable event as we visited together renewing old friendships and paying homage to the wonderful years we had spent growing up together. One thing that truly impressed me was the amazing way in which the staff treated us. In the restaurant we were warmly received and welcomed no matter what time of the day it was. Throughout the two days in the banquet room our every need was attended to by a very warm and accommodating staff member. I want to say a "special" thank you to these people and all those working behind the scenes who made us feel very "special" and contributed to what turned out to be a truly great time for all who attended.

We stayed at the Armstrong Inn for a five day stretch for the IPE in Armstrong. For 3 days in a row we had the "make up room" sign on the door but got no maid service. On the fourth day we were still in the room and had the "do not disturb" sign on the door. The maid ignored the sign and continuously pounded on the door saying "maid service". When I opened the door I asked her if she could please come back in an hour. She said that she wanted to get out of there, but she could wait around if she had to. When I stated that this would be the fourth day of no maid service she argued with me about which sign was on the door. This person should not be working in hospitality. She was extremely rude and unprofessional. When she did come to clean the room that day, she neglected to fill the soap, provide toilet paper and the counters weren't even wiped. On top of that the bathroom ceiling above the shower head was rotten, soggy and had visible black mould. The bedspread had pieces of food stuck to it and it looked like it had never been washed. We found the hotel to be quite dirty overall. The rest of the staff we encountered were all very nice and professional and the restaurant food was surprisingly good for the setting. Next time we will drive the extra 15 minutes and stay in Vernon.

We offer our sincere apologies to this guest. We take pride in making each guest comfortable in a very clean room. There were extenuationg circumstances in this case, none of which were the fault of our guest. We have taken steps to ensure that this will not happen again. Once again our apologies.

Rooms were outdated in decor, but very clean. We had the executive suite as we had an adult son travelling with us and the separate bedroom was nice. Full kitchen, in-room coffee.
We were attending a family reunion and several other families stayed here as well. They placed us all together on the second floor -- very nice.
Bed was not very comfy for me, but others found them to be good. In wall air conditioner was really loud. One side of hotel all rooms have sliding doors onto a small balcony. The other side has only windows, with a very small opening portion.
Several of us had breakfast at the restaurant the last morning and both the service and quality were very good.

Room Tip: Ask for a gound floor room with a balcony so you don't have to drag luggage up a flight of stair...

On the way home from Osoyoos to Surrey the long way stopped in Armstrong to see a friend and didn't want to go back to Vernon for a hotel (small places are more our style). Room was basic but very, very clean ! Bed comfortable. Coffee in room, microwave and bar fridge. Have heard restaurant is good but did not get to try it. Staff helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend this inn and would not hesitate to stay here again if in the area.

We stayed for three nights at The Armstrong Inn where we found the rooms to be very clean, the restaurant was very good with good value for the menu items and the overall service at both the Inn and the restaurant was exceptional. We have no problem recommending this Inn for an overnight or an extended stay

Hubby & I needed a place to stay after the double feature at the Starlight Drive-in in Enderby. The Armstrong Inn has a great pub, wonderful restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and supper, and a basic but super clean room. The bed was comfortable and the in room coffee in the morning was greatly appreciated after our late night. We'll use this facility again and recommend it to others.
