This was our first visit to Yr Hen Felin staying with our daughter and son-in-law. On arrival we were given a very warm welcome from Carys and Paul. Carys showed us to two of the three rooms. Blue and Ivory and Red and Gold. Both absolutely beautiful large bright rooms. Each room had a huge comfy bed. Comfortable chairs to relax in and flat screen tv. A wide selection of teas and coffees with fresh milk located in the fridge. So much better than carton milk. Also in the fridge complimentary bottles of water. A selection of biscuits and chocolates also offered. In our room, Red and Gold, the good size en suite had a toilet, bath with shower over and sink area. Again beautifully decorated with bathrobes providing the finishing touches. In Blue and Ivory the en suite had a shower cubicle. Breakfasts were freshly cooked and beautifully presented. The breakfast room is a lovely room again superbly decorated as is the whole of Yr Hen Felin. What an amazing bed and breakfast. Thank you Carys and Paul for a wonderful break.

This was our first stay at Yr Hen Felin but I’m sure it won’t be our last. Carefully chosen from the great reviews on Trip Advisor for our first visit to this area and we were not disappointed.

A converted old mill in a beautiful setting – gravel drive, stream through the garden, charming little village – picture perfect. We received a warm welcome from Paul and Carys and immediately felt at home.
Yr Hen Felin has three rooms and we stayed in Rodyn which had its own staircase and was more like having your own apartment. The bedroom was huge with double aspect windows (3) which were all window seats, flat screen TV, CD player / radio, tea and coffee making facilities which including local and international coffees and teas and an ample supply of snacks. Not forgetting the fresh milk in the fridge which was a nice touch.
The Tardis / bathroom was huge, modern, light and had everything you would need and more – if you are into cat swinging then it was certainly big enough . In fact if there was something missing from the room I didn’t know what it was – every attention to detail was made.
The breakfast room was decorated absolutely beautifully ( is Carys after Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen’s job ?). Breakfasts are freshly prepared with local ingredients and again you were short of nothing and unusually for us we had no need to eat at lunch on either days stay.

Carys was also very helpful with directions and information on the area. There’s a great little bistro (The Ship) In the village and another pub (Ty Coch) on the local beach about 30 minutes’ walk away.

What more can I say – just perfect ! diolch !

P.S. 15 minutes into our journey home Carys rang as she had discovered my PJ's neatly folded under the pillow - wishful thinking on my part - a 3rd night would have been great.

Room Tip: I'm sure it won't matter - you can't go wrong !

In a great part of the Llyn Peninsula with pretty local beaches and walks and not far from many other lovely parts of Wales, the room and ensuite were very spacious, the decor so tastefully done throughout, the breakfast delicious. An excellent place for relaxing/special occasions and feeling spoilt. Paul and Carys are lovely hosts.

Room Tip: The Rhodyn room is the largest but I think all the rooms are spacious

Yr Hen Felin is spotlessly clean, our suite was huge, the breakfasts were perfect. Carys and Paul are perfect hosts. Edern is a good central location for some beautiful scenery including the Rivals, the restored cottages at the National Welsh Language Centre at Nant, the pub on the beach at Porth Dinllaen and a beautiful coast around Porth Ysgaden.

Room Tip: The suite that we stayed in was called Rodyn and it was perfect
