Made the mistake of reading some of the negative reviews on here before visiting, so I wasn't expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised and the kids loved it.
I thought it would be digger themed rides, but the rides are all actually real diggers (duh - clue's in the name), still powered by their own diesel engines and with the rides 'driven' by the digger drivers (mostly women), so they decide how the ride runs, rather than just pushing a button and letting the ride do the same thing it always does. When you get off and say thank you to the person on the ride gate, it's actually because they've done something - given you a great ride - and not just pressed a button and held the gate open for you.
It's not huge, but there are enough rides, an indoor bouncy castle, indoor soft play area, indoor character show at 12pm and a digger 'stunt show' at 2pm that we spent the whole day there without even trying/noticing.
Food was OK. Better than the usual out of the freezer/into the fryer grub designed to be served up by untrained monkeys at big theme parks, but still nothing special (could be so much better while it's still a small family-run-esk venue).
The price is a bit steep, even with the 15% discount that you can get all over the place, and having to pay more for the dodgems and kiddy ride-on machines makes you feel a bit robbed. But, at the end of the day I was happy and so we the kids, so I can't grumble too much and - most importantly - we'll be going back.
They need some/more builders hard hats for kids in the gift shop though! :0)
