We were saving our shrimp for Giovannis, and ordered the mussells, wow were they good! Served on a cookie sheet with butter and garlic. Loved them.

we've been going here for years
cross the road and eat on a beautiful beach
great food and sunshine
easy to find this place, take a lazy drive around Oahu
next to a quaint little old Chinese grocery, been there for long time
we make going to this shrimp shack a priority, taken family and friends there too

I had the fish and chips, although it was called something else, my wife had coconut shrimp and son had popcorn shrimp. Good food, not great. Have to sit in front of the small grocery store on picnic tables. That's OK, except for the flies, cause you can grab a beer at the store. I was expecting more based on the reviews, so I was a bit disappointed. I would hate to go when there's a crowd, cause service was slow and there was only one other order in front of ours. It is a truck they are cooking out of remember. The view, if you look towards the ocean is good, just don't turn back and face the store wall. I would probably stop back in and eat in the car to avoid the flies, and maybe order the garlic shrimp. You go and be the judge.

Got the garlic shrimp, and it was really average. Massive amount if chopped garlic everywhere and butter.

Was hard to taste the shrimp with all the butter.

Nice little place and good view, but there are other better places to try along this North Shore road.

We stopped here while on a Jeep tour with Hawaii Jeep Tours (Wayde's World: Poor Man's Guide to Hawaii). We tried the Spicy Garlic Shrimp and Coconut Shrimp Plates and were very pleased with both. I recommend the "medium" spicy for a good amount of heat without blowing your mouth off. We passed on the tropical float drinks they make, but heard they were good as well.

There are tables you can sit at and a convenience store if you want to discreetly grab a "wobbly-pop" to wash down the shrimp (wink wink), or use the washroom to clean your hands after.
