We were staying in Llandovery, but didn't fancy any of the eating places so headed back on the A40 towards Brecon. Stopped in another pub, but there was very little choice on offer. As we walked out, a local recommended The White House Country Inn which was a little distance up the road. We were absolutely delighted with the food we received, the staff and proprietor very friendly and polite. We would highly recommend this pub to anybody and would gladly dine there again.

We stopped here overnight on our way to a wedding in Wales, a warm welcome - fantastic evening meal and comfortable room - overall great value and had we travelled back that route we would have repeated the stay. Welsh lamb was just superb!

Stayed in a single room to attend a funeral in the area, as it turned out the wake was held in the Inn. Food for the wake was provided by the pub and was a very good spread, locally made food and produce. Room was clean and comfy, bit warm for me, but this could be down to what looked like a memory foam mattress on the bed. Breakfast in the morning was superb and very well cooked by the landlord, overall a welcome stay topped off by friendly and helpful staff and owners.

The food and service was excellent. The owners (I presume) were very friendly and helpful. Just how proprietors should be.
The room we stayed in was average, very clean but we couldn't turn the heating down, so had to sleep with the window open.
We would recommend eating there at least once in the evening. Reasonble pricing and very nice. Good location for the Brecon Beacons, be careful using the sat nav for directions. We ended up on MOD land!
Overall, well worth the money.

we visited this inn in the summer as we were attending a wedding near by. the staff were friendly, the rooms were old fashioned but clean and tidy and suited the inn well. we had are evening meal here and it was lovely. the next morning we were looking forward to the breakfast, thinking it would be on the same par as the evening meal . it wasn't, the full English breakfast was spicy .eggs over cooked and the mushrooms were out of a TIN !!! .breakfast was a let down, hope it has improved . apart from this it was a lovely weekend stay.
