Great place to relax but Dont even try to go to this place without a car of your own as we did. Cant fault with the facilities in the resort except for the fact that you are expected to be here without your own vehicle.

The village looks very smart on arrival and the villas are modern however they are modestly furnished. The lounge-kitchen is a decent size with a shower room / toilet off it. This leaves the 2 small bedrooms upstairs to share the upstairs shower room. There is a small patio outside however we only had 2 chairs and a tiny table for it.
Our villa had very visible settlement cracks such that the bedroom door could not close properly.
The access to the village is a couple of miles up a very narrow twisty road.
There are a number of restaurants in the nearby local villages, mainly decent quality pub restaurants.
The Wood Bros restaurant in Killaloe and the small Snug bistro in Mountshannon were worth a visit.
There is a short golf course on site serving pub grub during the day mainly.
Ennis is quite a nice town about 20 minutes away and there are some tourist attractions in the area however the location is a long drivepp from attractions such as The Burren and The Cliifs of Moher and too far really for Ring of Kerry although we did go there one day.
We had booked for a week and left after 4 nights and someone else checked out early just before us.

Stayed just for 1 night.

House was extremely well equipped including towels and linen. House had a very homely feel.

Had double room and twin room. There was a sofa bed in the lounge.

The location is remote and a car is a must because it was not walking distance to any of the towns or villages. Some of the local pubs were offering a free shuttle service on there traditional music nights. Also reception offered a servive to book tours.

Would definately go back great location for exploring the Shannon/Co. Clare region.

Room Tip: Sleep 6 Comfortably

We are Diamond Resort owners and this was a timeshare exchange for us. Our unit was very comfortable for two couples. The twin bedroom and the king (two twins pushed together) were of equal size and with the same furniture. There is sufficient living room furniture for all to watch TV or read in comfort. The kitchen has everything you need if you wish to cook in as well as laundry and dishwasher soap. The beds were very comfortable although we found the duvets rather cheap. Toiletries were supplied, but only in one bathroom. Internet was free and reasonably fast. Do take advantage of the shuttle to Peppers for music night. It is a fabulous experience and not touristy at all. Note that the Village is about 2 km. off R352 so keep driving even when you think you must have missed it! The unit needs heated towel racks and updated TVs. 7.14 Euros seems a tad expensive for electricity. Other than that we enjoyed our stay and would recommend the Village.

We had an excellent week at East Clare in late July. A car is essential for exploring far and wide, with traffic very light by UK standards - just as well as the minor roads are rather narrow. The Golf Village has over 50 units, most in blocks of 4. The golf course is adjacent but not obvious from the units. We had a 2 bed, 2up 2 down apartment - very spacious with all amenities provide for self-catering. We ate out most days and having taken advantage of the free shuttle bus to Peppers at Feakle on our first night, it turned into our main eatery! The live music on Sunday and Wednesday evenings is well worth experiencing, but it is a friendly place with good food. The reception staff at East Clare are very helpful with tips on places to visit etc. and there are several organised excusions available for those not inclined to drive. We explored in all directions - Limerick, Loch Derg circuit, Portumna Castle, Galway, Portrush etc. - plenty to experience. As a base for exploring western Ireland, this worked extremely well for us. The most convenient airport from the UK would be Shannon, but two of us flew to Dublin and hired a car from there - an easy drive on quiet motorways, but beware the odd toll!

Room Tip: Based on our experience, the site is relaxed and quiet so no need to worry on precise location.

My husband and I stayed here with our two sons aged 2 & 3. The staff were very helpful and friendly. It is an ideal base for travelling around the area. We ate in a pub called Teach Ui Bhriain, in the near by Tuamgraney. It was very child friendly. We visited Bunratty and Cragginowen, which I would highly recommend for active toddlers!! There is a free bus to Peppers Bar in Feakle on Sunday and Wednesday nights. Peppers do wonderful food and there was excellent live Irish music also.

The kids loved the house, very spacious. I would highly recommend the properties, they are spotlessly clean and very homely.

I have to be honest and say i would never have taught to stay anywhere but a hotel but after my experience in East Clare Holiday homes I have definately changed my mind. From the minute we arrived we felt totally relaxed. The girl at reception was so friendly and polite once we had checked in she walked us to our chalet. Downstairs was a large sitting room/kitchen that was beautiful furnished and double doors leading out to the terrace with a table and 4 chairs. (Also a downstairrs toilet with Shower). Upstairs along a small corridor was a twin and double room and a bathroom. We couldnt believe how big and clean the place was. We decided to stay in for the night and cook dinner (it really felt like we were at home) we had everything to hand in the kitchen right down to a potatoe peeler. We couldnt recommend this place enough so much so that when we got home we booked to go back in july with a few of our friends. I dont think i have ever slept so well the beds were so comfy and it was in such a quiet area. These are the perfect getaway for some peace and quiet. Its only a short drive from Tuamgreany for any essentials you may need. These holiday homes were definately up to the standard of any hotel and are great value too. Dont think twice about booking.

Room Tip: Booking.com has great value 4 these holiday homes
