We went there on our honeymoon and as the beaches are more than beautiful and were all alone on them, it was the perfect place to be for a little week.

The humpback whales were playing on the other side of the reef, and in the sunset we could sit on the beach and see the males jumping to impress the femals.

Diving is great, the water is very clear and they have a beautifull reef that Kalafi can sail you to.

This place is definately worth a visit if you need to unpluck, but be prepared for some peace and quit .... there is absolutely nothing but sand and water.... wonderful.

Kalafi and Taiana run the perfect beach bum's hideaway. From the moment Jim the Boatman drops you off on the tiny island of Uoleva and Kalafi welcomes you with some fresh fruit you know that you are in for a treat.
You spend your day lazing on the perfect tropical paradise beach, playing volleyball or snoozing in the hammock under the palm trees. In the evenings Taiana prepares a gigantic feast and a traditional 'umu' on Sundays. There is no power on the island and after dark falls its time to play cards or read by oil lamp until sleep beckons from the palm thatched, traditional fales, lulled by the sound of the surf.
A word of warning; Taiana's is not a luxury resort. There are no shops, no bar and no cooking facilities. Any requirements not met by Taiana's breakfast and dinner or any additional leisure activities or equipment must be brought with you.

Thank floreana
