Stayed with friends on a recent cycling trip.
Secure storage for the bikes.
Lovely rooms, great breakfast in a wonderful conservatory. .
Great host, who gave us a lift to the pub and collected us after. Fantastic value.
Great location for visiting some of the historical sights. Would recommend Tullie house museum and Lanercost Priory which are both within easy reach, although the other Hadrian's wall sights are not too far by car.
Wish we could have stayed longer.

Troutbeck Cottage is a lovely place to stay, close to the beautiful River Eden with some excellent walks and wonderful views. The rooms are extremely clean and comfortable, the atmosphere is friendly and feels very much like a home from home, Sally was even kind enough to post my phone charger back to me after I'd managed to leave it behind. Most importantly, the breakfast is exceptional. Highly recommended.

We stayed for 3 nights at Troutbeck Cottage. Sally and Ian are wonderful hosts, with a wealth of knowledge about Warwick and Carlisle. We were in a double room on the ground floor and found the room very comfortable. Sally cooked us a lovely breakfast each morning, great for setting us up for the rest of the day. I would definitely recommend Troutbeck Cottage and if we are ever in the area again it would be a place for us to stay.

Stayed one night with wife on way back from Scotland.
Host Sally and Hubby were excellent and very attentive.
Comfortable double room and EXCELLENT breakfast.
Location ideal for us but is easy to miss if you are not careful.
Will return if in the area again, many thanks Sally.
