My wife and I have stayed here several times..so I thought time for a few chosen words. This place is a gem. I have never met such wonderful staff whom absolutely nothing is a problem..bending over backwards is an understatement. The hotel itself is simply charming..the rooms are excellent and the food is just..awesome. i would whole heartedly recommend The Hogs...you will never be dissapointed. Thanks to Andy, Annette, John and Christine for everything.

me and my husband stayed here on a fri/sat night.
we had a warm welcome and were shown to our room and that was the only disappointment of our stay it was so small with no bedside tables and no draws on a wardroom and cupboard which had a hairdryer in and the wardrobe had a fan on the floor but no shelves.my husband hit his leg numerous times on the corner of the bed as the wood stuck out with not much room to walk round.but having said this the bathroom and shower was lovely.
the hotel itself was very warm and welcoming staff very helpful and went out of there way to look up the bus timetable from the internet and write it down for us.
we had a evening meal on the first evening and it was great roast lamb dinner for £4.75 and it was fresh and delicious they have plenty of choice in beers to at good prices it must have a good reputation for its food as it was pretty full both nights.
breakfast was lovely very tasty and wholesome set us up for the day.
we will defiantly look forward to coming again but perhaps request a larger room before we go.

Room Tip: room one very small

No phone service - that's the only negative. Good service, comfortable rooms, good homemade food, excellent breakfasts... And all for a great price! Highly recommended for the wallet if you want all of this at an affordable price. I'll be going back!

Booked a superior room which although on the small side was adequate and had everything we needed. My partner through no fault of his own was very late in arriving, well after last food orders & after explaining our dilemma to staff, they made sure we had a meal ready for his arrival which was much appreciated. Excellent value for money, breakfast very good, staff friendly and courteous. Within easy access to park and ride system for trams into town. We would definitely stay again.

Once you have found the place (right to the bottom of the lane and turn left) you enter a small piece of calm, this is one of the quietest places I have ever stayed in yet handy for Nottingham and the surrounding area, 15 minutes from Sherwood Park where I was working.

The Hogs Head is really a nice pub with rooms with friendly staff offering great food and really nice rooms (I was in a superior double) with free wifi and toiletries. Dinner in the bar was excellent & great value and the breakfast was huge.

Thoroughly recommended and I will definitely stay again.
