Arrived after a long journey to find a gorgeous cosy wee cottage, a basket of goodies left by Karen was such a special touch. My husband and I felt at home instantly, lit the fire and cosied up for the evening. It is a perfectly formed apartment, the kitchen and bathroom are lovely and really well equipped. Ideal for a couple. Karen also asked if we wanted Christmas decorations up, which we did and it was like a home away from home for us. A perfect base for us to visit family over the festive period. Will definitely be back and recommend to friends and family. Thank you for a great few days.
Really liked it here, the place was of a high standard, clean, and we had great views of the sea.We had a clean bedroom, living room and bathroom, with smart TV, fridge.the hospitality was great. It was one of the better stays we had in Scotland and good value for money. It was a short walk to the beach or bus stop. Thank you very much
Can't really say much more than what earlier reviews say, but only reinforce the sentiment. Location, hosts and property were all perfect. We came to get away from it all and did just that. Would recommend waking to the small village where there is a little pub and friendly locals. Only thirty mins walk, and a really nice walk at that. Got the ferry to the small town across the water too, very enjoyable also. We took board games with us and books. Recommend also sitting outside at subset and nighttime, the quiet there is second to none. One night the only sound we heard was a bus across the lake and on the other side. Amazing. Thank you Karen and Bob, we will return.
The location is great -right in front of the Loch Long with fantastic views. Shore Road which goes from Kilcreggan to Cove (where the apartment is) and beyond has fantastic villas and winds up beautifully. A very nice touch was a basket of traditional Scottish biscuits and milk. The apartment is small but has everything!! There's quite a bit to see around the area, the obvious Loch Lomond about 40-50 miles away. Visit the Benmore Botanic Gardens in the Cowal Peninsula (same distance, but opposite Cove), what a find! Closer to home, out of the apartment to Kilcreggan (40mins walk), Walker butchers have excellent, award-winning sausages and pies, there's a small but nice cafe and a convenience store.
Kilcreggan hotel is perched on the hill with great views.
Out of the apartment, 20 mts to the right there's a convenience store, carry on further down the road and about 3/4 of a mile there's the Linn Gardens, which is a fantastic place you can roam about. There's lots of brochures in the apartment with info about many places to see and do.
All in all a great place, many thanks to Karen and Bob for making it a great stay!
We spent a very relaxing week, soaking up the fantastic scenery on the doorstep of this comfortable and well equipped property. It was wonderful to wake up to the wonderful loch views and to see a fabulous sunset on one of the evenings. There are local walks, so no need to take out the car. There was a very thoughtful welcome basket when we arrived and a nearby shop provides daily essentials . All in all, we had a lovely break and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this accommodation to any couple looking to get away from it all and truly relax!
Lovely views, lovely clean apartment with everything you need. Comfortable bed and quiet spot. Saw 2 species of dolphins from the window
Really nice place to stay and explore the Loch Lomond area of Scotland. The apartment has everything you need and nicely done. Karen and Bob were very helpful and greeted us on arrival to show us round the apartment. Highly recommend.
