Wow, what an amazing stay we had. A perfect cottage, decorated in a modern and comfortable style, with every amenity you could need. Lots of kitchen equipment, comfy sofas, lovely bathroom and what a great view over the water! There are wood-burning stoves if you want to get toastie and warm (or standard central heating if you prefer). Good TV, comfy beds and good sized rooms. The provisions on arrival were useful and unexpected.

The owners were helpful, welcoming and friendly. A lot of care has gone into making the cottage a luxury rental. We were very happy and impressed.

Don't be put off by the idea of a pier near the cottage. It's a tiny passenger ferry that fits about a dozen people, and we didn't get disturbed once by it.

Local amenities include a small, quiet pub (The Lighthouse) and The Cafe that does lovely breakfasts, lunches and dinners. There's also a village post office, a small Boots, a butchers and a small supermarket.

We would definitely visit again and/or recommend to friends and family.

My husband and I stayed at Pier cottage for 2 nights and would highly recommend it.

The owners are attentive, friendly and extremely helpful. It is a spacious 2bedroom cottage with a very cosy feel to it.

The location is lovely with stunning views of Loch Long and the Clyde estuary. Kilcreggan has many amenities including a pub, butcher, post office, bank and cafe. The town of Helensburgh is a short picturesque drive away, offering many restaurants and cafes.

“Peaceful haven with all the amenities on your doorstep”

We loved this little gem of a cottage. Set in a stunning location, right on the edge of Loch Long and the Firth of Clyde, nestled next to the old (and still working) Victorian pier, with wood burning stoves for the winter weather, a welcome pack and mulled wine, we all felt right at home immediately.
Millie and Hector make you feel so welcome and are at hand for any info/help you may need, but they have thought of everything and have a welcome book for the area and leaflets galore for things to do in the surrounding area!
You will need a car to get in and out of the peninsula, of course! And we loved the drives to and from the cottage - you never get bored of the scenery...or the occasional submarine floating past your window first thing in the morning! Amazing!!!
Extra bonus, they have everything at hand so no need to worry about supplies - little supermarket, cafe, pub, butchers...everything!
Would highly recommend Pier Cottage to anyone and the area. Hope to be back someday soon!
