Ignore any negative reviews, just expect what you pay for. This is a budget hotel. The owner has clearly given things a lick of paint and replaced a few bits. The room is very basic and a bit dated in its furnishings but it was clean, we had a proper sea view, the food on half board was amazingingly good quality. The breakfast was a bit cheapo but hey- for what we paid it cannot be faulted. Equally the waiting staff were not silver service!!
Check out deals with Island Getaways or the hotels own offers.

The was a truly horrible hotel, certainly one of the worst that I have ever had the misfortune of staying in. The whole place was dingy, the room was falling apart, and nothing worked properly. It looked like nothing had been cleaned anywhere, and the staff didn't seem to care when this was raised to them. Please don't waste any money on this hotel, you will regret it. Horrible, just horrible...

I was very anxious about booking a 2 star hotel, but as some relatives were booking this hotel I decided that I’d just go as it was only for 2 nights. For what we paid, £25 per person per night (half board) it was excellent value for money.
The hotel is in a great location, literally just across the road for L’Eree Bay and our room overlooked the car park with a great view of the bay. We booked a double room but were given a room with 2 single beds side by side and a bunk bed. Towards the back of the room there was a small lounge area with 2 chairs and a small table. Small flat screen TV and hair dryer on the dresser. My only complaint about the room is that the bed was extremely soft (felt as though I was literally sinking into it) and the sink is in the bedroom as opposed to the bathroom. The bathroom was very small and narrow with only a toilet and a bath with shower (all be it a very basic one).
The hotel was clean and the staff were lovely and helpful, although I was waiting for about 5 mins at reception the evening we arrived for someone to check us in. Ate 2 evening meals at the hotel and they were fine. There was also a decent selection for breakfast and the food was kept piping hot – I had to use a tissue to remove the covering lids – which was a very nice change to a lot of breakfast buffets.
There was a lounge area with a large TV, some books and a computer which I believe had free internet access but I didn’t use it. There was free wifi in the room but the signal in my room was extremely weak and it took so long for the pages to load that it wasn’t really worth bothering with.
There was also a good Indian restaurant – The Taste of India, which is about a mins walk if that from the hotel. A bus stop is also immediately outside of the hotel with a bus that takes you into town and to the airport.
I must admit that 2 star hotels are not usually the norm for me but I would have no hesitations about staying here again or for recommending it for a short break.

L'eree bay is a 2 star budget hotel opposite a wide non descript bay in Guernsey. The decor is dated, plain and faded. Reception is lacking in staff, there aren't any, staff double their duties within restaurant, cleaning and bar duties, they are pleasant when they decide to converse if you decide to respond. Breakfast is buffet style, and the same every day, cereal, juice, grapefruit segments, bacon, sausage, beans, fried eggs and removed promptly at 9am! The staff then attend to their housekeeping/chambermaid duties. You will find there is a lovely small garden area with outside swmming area which is very pleasant when the local children are not diving into the pool and causing chaos. There are two bars, one is for locals, which is loud and to be avoided, the other is within the restaurant/brasserie area and quite pleasant.
The food cooked by the owner/chef is fantastic, huge portions, exceptional value and price and highly recommended, steak and kidney pie, battered fish, fresh fish, specials,
roast lamb and roast beef , etc - all of which are highly recommended.
You will find the bedrooms only adequate, wash basin within the room, small bathroom with shower over and no curtain, dated shabby furniture, reasonable bed with only okay linen and towels equal to 2 star quality which is really what you are paying for. If I were to return, it would only be for the owner/chef evening meals and nothing else, there are far too many more hotels in Guernsey that I would wish to experience.

Me and my family decided to have a week away as im working non stop now untill next year. This was a brilliant break, the staff was very polite and friendly, we have 3 children , the bedrooms are a little dated but it has lovely views and its very clean and tidy with all those little extras that you need, but i didnt spend that much time in there anyway, this is a kiddy friendly hotel with a lovely adaptable menu for them, the food in the brasserie is amazing and well priced with lovely fresh fish and big portions
