“Lovely, quiet, well equipped cottage”
Reviewed November 9, 2016 for a stay in November 2016

We stayed at The Old Stores for a long weekend this November.
It's in a great position in the middle of the village and within very short walking distance of two good pubs.
It's a little quirky being upside down , but the bedrooms are a good size with the upstairs kitchen / lounge large and open plan. The kitchen was really well equipped and spotless !
We'd recommend The Rock just up the road for great food, especially for a late Sunday lunch.
The Kings Arms had a great band playing Friday night so worth a look in.
All in all a great place to stay !

“Very special place in beautiful Devon countryside”
Reviewed October 16, 2016 for a stay in October 2016

We enjoyed everything about the old stores - it is a perfect English cottage in a delightful village! The house itself was spacious and homely, with lots of charm and character. The location was also great, nestled between two outstanding pubs (the Rock and the Kings Arms) and not far from the Woolacombe Sands and surrounding villages. Overall, our time at the old stores was cosy and relaxing, a great getaway. We had a fantastic stay and cannot wait to come back!

“Perfect cottage in perfect location”
Reviewed September 20, 2016 for a stay in September 2016

We had a great stay here with two very young children (3 years and 8 months). The cottage is perfectly located only a short drive from all the beaches and attractions plus the two pubs in the village of Georgeham really are fantastic (my favourite was The Rock and their crab salad). The cottage pretty much has everything you would require bar a shower (although this wasn't really an issue). It also had a a few bits an pieces in the kitchen when we arrived like tea/coffee, milk, biccies - which were very much appreciated after a long drive. We are already planning our trip back next year.

“Lovely cottage + great location= relaxing holiday”
Reviewed August 9, 2016 for a stay in August 2016

This is our second stay at the Old Stores, and we enjoyed it as much the second time as the first.

The cottage is very modern and well appointed, and is also around 150 years old and a listed building to boot. With the kitchen and lounge on the first floor and the two bedrooms on the ground floor, it makes for a very interesting property.

Although the cottage is right on the road of this pretty little village, the road goes to sleep at about 7pm and there is hardly any traffic on he road, thus making it very quite.

We enjoyed surfing in Croyde (only 5 minutes drive away), walked to the beach at Putsborough Sands, and chilled in the local pubs

Really enjoyed our stay here, and are trying to plan our next visit already!
