Just recently went home and decided we would stay at Kings Royale instead of bunking in with relatives. We had the Executive Suite which was large enough to accommodate a family of 5. This is a comfortable place to stay where you can relax and know that no one will be knocking on your door for a visit, chit-chat, or ask you for money and pasalubong. Don't take that the wrong way. I love family but I can only take so much visits per day.
The place has a coffee shop which the kids really enjoyed as a place to hangout; so did my husband and I. They serve more than coffee. You can order food and alcohol (yes!). My kudos for the great tasting food, coffee and really good job on the mai tai. There's a restaurant where the buffet breakfast is served and you can also order food. We only had breakfast there so I couldn't really tell you about the food. And even then, we had breakfast at The Coffee Academy (coffee shop) on most days because their food was so much better. There's a bar restaurant just around the corner from the hotel called skewers. They have a live band playing during weekends. Their food was average. Then there's PAGCOR. We didn't go to gamble but hear they only have slot machines.
The staff was very helpful, some go out of their way to accomodate you. We always had to ask for toilet paper, bottled water (2 a day), bath towels and hand towels. They have a 3rd party laundry service which we availed of. They did quite well; none of our clothes were ruined or deformed and the detergent they use is very mild so no worries with clothes smelling funky.
It gets a little loud during the weekends as the hall next door is used as a venue... often. This place has no elevator so make sure to get help with your luggages.
Overall, we would stay here again just because it's comfortable, affordable, decent..
