“Excellent overall holiday experience.”
Reviewed May 19, 2013

I have stayed at the Hideaway three times now, it is a great location. Staff are very good and very friendly. Breakfast is outstanding, a great choice and presented freshly cooked to perfection. Bar in the evening is nice and friendly and well stocked. My only gripe is the rooms are a little tired and have very, very little wardrobe space.
Don't be put of give it a try.

Just had a week at The Hideway Club and so peaceful and relaxing. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and Zia, the waiter, especially gets our thanks for making our holiday such a special one with his friendly banter and great customer service skills. We were on a half board basis in one of the cottages and the food was great with plenty of it and our cottage was clean and comfortable. It does however state in their brochure that there are sea views and we were under the impression this place is near to the sea but in fact it isn't unless you either drive or take a taxi which was a bit disappointing as the sea is quite a way from The Hideaway Club and again you have to drive or take a taxi to get to Kyrenia itself. But if you don't mind driving or taking a taxi to eat out or visit the sea then you will enjoy this place.

Just having a short break in Northern Cyprus & wish we were staying longer! Fabulous location, superb staff that can't do enough for you, lovely simple food, clean, comfortable suite - all just perfect.

This place really lives up to its name situated out of Kyrenia but still close enough to enjoy it as & when you want to go back to the hustle & bustle of a vibrant city.

Had a sea view suite in lovely bungalow - would recommend paying the little bit extra as worth it for view alone!

Will definitely be back now we've found it!

We decided to holiday in Northern Cyprus at the beginning of April and chose to stay at the Hideaway Club Hotel - what a excellent choice! The Hideaway is exactly as the name suggests, it's hidden away in the foothills of the Five Fingers mountains and is perfect if you want some peace and quiet good food and excellent service. The hotel offers rooms or cottages, we had a sea view cottage with fabulous views over to Kyrenia and the mountains. The hotel was so lovely and clean everywhere with everything you need - fridge, tea/coffee, hair dryer, air con in bedroom, make up mirror in the bathroom, plenty of hot water which only took about 15 mins to heat up with the flick of a switch, the pool area was very clean with ample sun beds with decent thick mattresses and plenty of pool towels and the pool side loo's were regularly checked so NEVER ran out of loo paper!!

The staff were wonderful, Oxanna who runs the hotel is lovely and very helpful with organising care hire (£16 a day so really cheap) and advice on anything local and good restaurants to try if you want to go out and about to eat, they have a list of recommended places to eat and there's no shortage of good restaurants in Kyrenia harbour, the Dolmus runs very regularly and is about 2 Turkish lira (about 70p) into Kyrenia, the castle at Kyrenia is well worth a visit and very interesting to wander around followed by a nice lunch and sitting and watching the world go by.

All the staff are great, Zia, Albert, Hus, Tony (who is an avid West Ham football fan!) and Chris the barman (who I think is leaving to return to the UK soon) and another young waiter whose name we never found out - sorry! We chose B&B only but the breakfasts were big enough to keep you going all day and the hotel serves food all day if you're a bit peckish, there's such a friendly atmosphere and nothing is too much trouble, we felt so well looked after the whole time. If you're looking for a peaceful break with plenty to do and see nearby then we'd highly recommend the Hideaway, we will definitely go back.

If you would like any further info please feel free to contact.

Room Tip: We'd recommend choosing a sea view cottage because the views are stunning.

A bit tired and in need of a really good makeover! However this only refers to the buildings.

The management and staff at The Hideaway Club rank alongside the best we have ever encountered in many years of travelling. Nothing was too much trouble, they were all bright, enthusiastic, friendly and efficient from the chamber maids to the management responding to every need quickly, efficiently and discreetly.

Although all staff deserve praise a special mention must be made of Oxana who really made our stay a joy from booking to departing.

OK the food is not of 'Gourmet' standard but more than adequate for purpose, the English breakfast outstanding!

If you can endure the ridiculously long and tiring travelling via Istanbul then you will find that The Hideaway Club lives up to its very appropriate name.

Just returned form a week's holiday. Lovely location overlooking Kyrenia and the sea to the front, and the mountains to the rear. A ten minute taxi ride from Kyrenia, but if we go back we will hire a car, as there are linited facilities and places to walk in the immediate vicinity of the hotel.
All staff extremely friendly and efficient, food is good, and a nice pool. We stayed in a cottage suite, which was fine, but agree with other guests that although we couldn't fault cleanliness, some refurbishment is probably due.
Good enough to justify a return visit

Tucked away halfway up a hill, you will really need to hire a car to get anywhere. Apart from traffic on the steep hill outside the hotel, (and barking dogs!), this is a quiet retreat, and the large swimming pool is nicely sheltered.
The staff are all very friendly, and we liked the way they get to know your room numbers so quickly when ordering things.
But our room was very quirky, which I guess is the kindest way to describe it. All metal furniture, which can make horrible noises across the floor. The bed was extremely hard, and there are no duvets. Some of the cupboards in the sitting room had been screwed up so they didnt open. And we had a tiny crt tv that only got Skynews, the Travel channel and one film channel that seemed to be all adverts.
But the main reason to downgrade them was the bathroom. This was tiny, and with a non power shower that dribbled very hot or very cold water at you it was impossible to have a satisfactory shower. It cried out for a thermostatic shower valve, and a good shower head clean.(and the mid level hook to hang the shower on was missing) Couple this with the typical "no paper down the loo" of that part of the world, and no bidet, and it made for a dissappointing bathroom to say the least.
Some people have raved about the food, all I can say is that they have led a very sheltered life! Plenty of it , yes, but too much fried and from the freezer. And I dont particularly like fries with rice and pitta bread all on the same plate!
But hey! we got plenty of sun, and the people were all friendly, but sorry to say we shan't be going back.
