We visited the restaurant to celebrate friends' silver wedding anniversary. The staff are really excellent here - young and enthusiastic and very knowledgeable. All meals were excellent with good local produce (even wine from a vineyard close by). Fish of the day was lemon sole on the bone which was simply cooked, generous and perfect. If I owned a restaurant, I would want it to be just like this one.

Visited with friends on a Tuesday night. Food really good and the staff welcoming and knowledgable about the good on the menu. Any questions were answered clearly and politely. They do a three course special but we opted for choice off the menu and were not disappointed. Nice atmosphere too and easy to park free in the car park opposite.

Definitely worth a visit and local produce used.

I live nearby and visit often! Last time on Friday evening with friends - and the welcome, the service and the food were simply fantastic. The welcome and the service are every bit as important as the food and 'Team BP' always turn out a first rate performance. And the food? Well, superb home-made cream of tomato followed by roast loin of venison with hickory smoked creamed potato, purple sprouting broccoli and red cabbage, followed by a lemon possett - and in my case - washed down with delicious Cornish sparkling water!! Including a reasonable tip all for £37.50 a head - and no washing up!
This experience is more like spending the evening with good friends!

A lovely place to eat, friendly staff, and great food, my favourite are the mussels, cooked with cider and a dash of curry. Yummy

Have eaten here on numerous occasions and every time the food and service was absolutely fabulous! Stylish decor and welcoming atmosphere. The menu changes daily. Look out for the dessert taster platter - a must! You get a bit of every dessert on the menu - Mmmmm!
