The location of this B&B is wonderful. Close to everything in the region. We stayed there for 3 nights recently as a group of 4 and had a good time. The log fire when we arrived was great. Especially as 2 of the 4 come from North Queensland. The priory ruins and the church are not to be missed. Our bedroom (the cheapest), with the view of the priory, was very nice and the bathroom with the bookshelf in it was great. However, I'm not sure how they have a 5 star rating. In our bedroom, in a cupboard, was the hot water system, which one morning started up at 6.45. Our towels weren't changed for the 3 days we were there and the heated towel racks weren't turned on, and as the weather was not the best, they stayed damp. The cooked breakfast was very limited with only pancakes, full cumbrian and kippers. Boring, especially if you are there for more than 1 night. Not what I would have expected from a top chef. If I knew all of this beforehand I would not have stayed there.
