Bexter's Tea Room ,Stokesley ,North Yorkshire
Venue:- Bexters Tea Room, Stokesley,North Yorkshire
Visitors:- Family with 2 young boys
We visited Bexter's Tea Room on a glorious sunny afternoon, on arrival it was very easy to park as there was a large car park adjacent to the Tea Room.
The character of the building was very impressive, judging by the stone carvings on the outside it appears to have been a church hall in the past. The gated courtyard looked like a very tempting place to relax and watch the world go by whilst sampling various treats and drinks on offer, the walls of the courtyard were also carved with Sunday School, I can imagine children playing on a Sunday morning.
The Tea Room Itself was decorated very tastefully combining modern furniture with country charm. The menu was very tempting, sandwiches / panini's / salads the savoury choice was endless. Coffee / Teas cold drinks the majority of which is sourced from the local area. However the most enticing part of the menu to both my boys (and myself I may add!) was the desert menu. Home made fresh scones / cream teas / cakes, mmm delicious. All served by friendly professional staff with a generous serving of Yorkshire charm.
We all really enjoyed our lunch, so much so I had to buy some of the fresh local tea / preserves, fruit tea and local lemon cheese, and strawberry jam, all of which were eagerly sampled the following morning with breakfast.
