Argyro gave us the perfect welcome and showed us to our little room, it had everything you need and was very clean with good shower etc. The view from the balcony was stunning. Argyro offered to cook us a vegetarian meal with vegetables from her garden, it was very traditional learnt from her grandmother. Needless to say it was delicious, a stand out meal from our time in Crete. Might have something to do with the excellent wine she served us and the fact that we where sitting under vines in the garden. After a simple but substantial breakfast we payed a very small bill and sadly said goodbye to a lovely lady. We highly recommend a trip to Kritsa the wonderful frescos and the ruins at Lato. Kritsa is an interesting village to walk around, lots of insistent lace sellers who we managed to avoid, however we did get mugged by three old ladies selling almonds and tea, they got all of 2Euros for a handful of almonds, they did it all with such charm we couldn't resist.
Great stay at Argyro rooms to rent we can highly recommend it.More
