Found this pub by accident. Friendly staff, good beer, great food, remarkable value - just found our new favourite pub. Will be back. Probably quite a lot.

Lovely Staff, fab Gastro food, decent portions, good choice, very helpful, we saw one table ask for egg free and they created a menu just for her! Staff couldn't have been more friendly & Helpful. Food was tasty, good portions for the type of food, and very Delicious!!! was a pricey meal but..was well worth the money! Would recommend the Chocolate & salty Caramel tart

Was really impressed with the interesting menu on offer, this was backed up with the excellent standard of food offered. I cannot fault the mushroom risotto nor the service offered with it. Nothing appeared to be too much trouble. A Huntsman visit will definitely be repeated.

Found this 16th century, slightly dowdy pub, by accident. But what a treat. The food is exellent!
The building itself has not been modernised for quite some time, the tables and chairs are cheap and cheerful and the decor has probably not been updated since the 1980's.
BUT the food - modern British is - is fabulous. The menu is small and chef has obviously thought hard about what to offer, with seasonal specials. All ingredients are locally sourced and there is a long list of suppliers on the wall. We were so impressed that we returned just a few weeks later. The portions are a decent size of great quality.
The service is relaxed and very friendly and the restaurant is really part of the bar area, so the place is full of locals, creating a great ambiance. Its best to book.
We will be going back.

I have visited the huntsman inn twice in as many weeks with family and both times exceeded expectations. From the moment we walked in we were made very welcome. The pub has a cosy feel which is helped with the lovely wood burner. The food is amazing, all the produce is locally sourced and I love the fact that on the blackboard you can find out exactly where everything is from. The chef obviously knows exactly what he's doing and takes pride in presenting each dish beautifully. We had 2 courses for £12, great value for the quality, can't recommend this place enough. Thank you for an enjoyable experience
