Great, peaceful location with lots of walks and trails starting right from the doorstep. Close to Exmoor and the coast. The barns have been beautifully converted and simply, stylishly decorated. We stayed in Hay barn which is very comfortable. Breakfast on the patio was a real treat with beautiful views and horses for neighbours. Would definitely recommend.
The Barns are in a wonderful setting with extensive views of the surrounding countryside. Very peaceful.
The barn itself was beautifully done up, modern but very comfortable with everything you would need for a self catering stay. It was a great place for a group to socialise with good indoor and outdoor space, plenty of room for everyone. The facilities for my horse were equally good too!
The pub at the bottom of the drive served really nice food.
Shanti was great host, friendly and helpful. She showed us around our accommodation and then left us to it but was on hand if needed.
Will definitely be back!
We have just stayed at the Hay Barn for the second time. The acccommodation is perfect - so comfy and in such a spectacular location. We loved spending time on the patio looking at the amazing views and walking the dogs on the Quantock hills.
Everything at Hay Barn is so well thought out, from the beautiful decor, the welcome refreshment pack to the walking guides and maps. So many fabulous places to eat and drink nearby, although we also used the fully fitted kitchen to cook our own dinners as we didn't want to lose any time on the patio with its spectacular views! Shanti and Malcolm are so accommodating and friendly, it really is a stress-free holiday. I can't recommend it highly enough and we will certainly be back soon.
Perfect countryside location at the foot of the Quantocks with an amazing terrace for BBQs and amazing views. The property has been converted to a very high standard- everything is very comfortable. There are also two excellent pubs within walking distance.
Triscombe is perfectly situated for anyone interested in riding, walking or cycling on the Quantocks. The 2 main barns are stunning & perfect for anyone staying at any time of year. I stayed in the Groom's Studio which suited my needs for this particular visit as & I was out most of the day, every day & in the evenings. However, the Grooms Studio has nowhere of its own for you to sit outside, though as the other barns were not occupied I was fortunate to be able to sit on one of their patios late one afternoon when the weather was good. The Grooms Studio has a microwave & small hob but no oven which was disappointing but liveable for a few days. Overall though a lovely stay.
Level of comfort was perfect as was the situation. The best bit was the home-grown leeks for tea - just amazing. Very near all of Somerset's attractions: Dunster castle; the Jurassic coast; the Quantock hills for walks and mountain biking; quaint towns and cities. We took the bikes yet if I still had horses, I would definitely take them too as the facilities are great for them.
We stayed for a long weekend and on this particular stay we decided to make full use of our immediate surroundings using the equine facilities on site and went for great walks in the beautiful countryside on our doorstep. We are planning a future stay in the summer as we loved everything about Triscombe Barns and hope to do more exploring...the steam train ride to Minehead is on our list.

Our whole experience at Triscombe Barns was superb. It was great for our family of 3 generations. The accommodation is lovely, the equine facilities are just as good and the breaktaking outdoors completed a fab stay! Huge thanks to owners Shanti and Malcom for everything!
