We where a family of 8 celebrating a special birthday, the house was beautiful, 4 spacious bedrooms, large lounge and kitchen which was fully equipped and had everything you needed, the setting couldn’t have been better with amazing views. The host Jay was there to meet us and shows us round. Will definitely be doing a return visit. Great weekend had by all.
Had the most amazing 2 day stay and dog friendly.
Ideal for just chilling out and getting away from it all. The owner and her staff where amazing and couldn't do enough for you.
We would visit again !
We booked the lodge for a family get-together for a wedding at the nearby Harelaw Farm. We booked at short notice after being disgracefully let down by another holiday let owner. We were absolutely delighted with everything about this house so the let-down was a blessing in disguise.
Jay met us on arrival and gave the guided tour which was most welcome.
Four fabulous double bedrooms, enormous lounge and well equipped kitchen all tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean.
We had glorious weather so sitting out on the patio was a treat, Wildlife watching whilst the sun goes down, glass of wine in hand, what more could you ask for? Even the trout in the loch put on a show for us.
We wish we could have stayed longer to take advantage of some of the sports on offer.
The smaller lodges look lovely and cosy.
We found the house easily (even if the sat-nav didnt!).
We have just returned from a 5 night break in this beautiful setting. The farmhouse itself is a real home-from-home, with a stunning kitchen, lovely double height lounge with gallery and log burner, and a comfortable, en-suite bedroom.
The property is a dog lover's paradise: the house itself is dog friendly, as is the owner, who has dogs herself, and there are miles of tranquil forest walks straight out of the gate. If you can bear to climb in the car, the beach is a short drive away.
There are friendly pubs in the nearby town and large Co-Op and Tesco stores for those who prefer cooking at home and a nice glass of red in front of the fire.
Later in the season I guess it will be paradise to sit out on the patio in the evening and watch trout jump in the lake, or maybe encounter a deer on an evening stroll.
Booked for a family weekend the house is a 5* amazing home from home the view is fantastic, we also had a day clay pigeon shooting the staff extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Easy travelling to Glasgow city centre as well as Ayrshire .Looking forward to our return visit next year
