This season is so green and lush. Phujai Sai resort is an awesome setting to see all of the mountains at their best. Serene resort with a really good spa and treatments. I stayed in a pool villa which was really big, made of bamboo. The indoor huge tub openend onto the mountain view and over looked the pool. The food - a lot is organic, grown on site. The GM was really considerate and caring about his guests. He was ready with suggestions to make the stay there even better. If you get to Chiang Rai - you realy need to spend a couple nights here to just chill out. Lucky you.

Room Tip: room 216 excellent views

We stayed for 5 nights in this wonderful, beautiful and peaceful resort hidden away in the mountains north of Chaing Rai.
Breath taking scenery, wonderful service from the staff with smiles everywhere, peaceful, quiet, relaxing. The perfect enviroment to bond with that special someone and to recenter yourself from the busy and hectic pace of modern society.
Tasteful bamboo villas that blend seemlessly into the mountain side with tasteful original Thai food.
There are many outdoors activities from hiking, rafting, visiting the Royal summer villa and gardens to just early morning walks in and around the resort.
Unwind at the end of the day relaxing on the terrace watching the sun set below the mountainds as the mist rolls into the vallies bellow
Thank you Steve to you and your wonderful staff,..... what a wonderful slice of heaven you have there at Phu Chaisai!
We did not use the gym or spa.

Food is fantastic ( home made yogurth is a must ), rooms well designed and functional, staff extremely friendly and always available. You should not be afraid of a few insects as you are in the middle of a jungle. The general manager of the resort really takes care of his customers. Only " negative" point, price of rooms and services a little on the higher side for what you get. But in general a must if you stay in Chiang Rai.

We had a very relaxing and comfortable stay at Phu Chaisai. We loved our bamboo cabin with its very private terracotta deck; the wonderful views of the valley and rolling hills; and perhaps most of all, wandering through this beautifully crafted resort teaming with tropical plants and thoughtfully created structures.
The food was good, and the service exceptional. Loved the swimming pool, and treated ourselves to a massage at the spa. If you want a change from the North American style of luxury hotel, and are looking for a comfortable resort that works with nature instead of replacing nature, this may be for you.

Room Tip: Next time, I would take a cabin with its own mini swimming pool in the deck

I find it very peaceful and relaxing every time I visit Phu Chaisai,a natural low-rise resort amidst green and lushness of nature.A superb Hide-out to recharge energy whenever I want to get away from big cities, yet not far away from many interesting attractions of Chiangrai Rai. Exellent food both Thai and Western, with friendly and hospitable couple-owners.A dream destination for anyone who loves serene and close to nature atmosphere yet with luxury facilities with well trained team of spa.

A friend of ours in Bangkok recommended this hotel which is about 40 min. outside of Chiang Rai. It was wonderful and we loved the place and would like to go back as we only had one night there. We met the owner and she is a delightful lady and she and her husband have been running this place for years and I don't think it's making them wealthy. It's because they love what they do and they have built a fabulous resort in the hills around Chiang Rai. We had a delicious meal and swam in the pool which is so exotic. We would have used the spa facilities had we been there longer. We were told they could also arrange trips for us into neighbouring areas as Myanmar is only 50 miles away.

Room Tip: All the rooms look great and some of them have spectacular views of the countryside.
