I planned this as stop over following a drive around Tuscany and Umbria. It proved to be a total success. Really nice people who take special are of their guests. The food was excellent as good as we had on the whole trip. In addition we had a bottle of Barbera D'Asti 2007, which was fantastic both in taste and value. Stopping here is well worthwhile and I am sure you would not be dissapointed.

We weren't quite sure as we drove through the unthrilling Trino and turned into the driveway.
Well the eight of us had the best two days ever. Italian true hospitality. This a gem of a place to stay Simply go!
Gabriela, Sabrine, Graziano are truly wonderful hosts, we loved them and their welcome and charm. We enjoyed wonderful local produce during feasts of meals sitting looking across the paddy fields as the candles glowed. Graziano with his quiet humour and great wine recommendations and martini cocktails!!
The ambiance is quiet, calm and relaxing. Massages are available from a most wonderful lady to reinvigorate or calm tired bones and muscles. Lovely pool ( lounger cushions are the only thing I could suggest) even good eye candy with the lifeguard who also did aqua aerobic fitness!! Bedrooms with lovely toiletries and hairdryers, great large towels and robes...super.... we wished we could have stayed longer and what a wonderful place for a wedding. Gabriela deserves so much success- a stunningly good stay. Graziano will also collect you from the airport- a winter stay appeals! Just meeting these such amazing people made it for us.

When I saw the picture of the Auite of the Borgo on booking.com I knew this is a place I want to visit. The Suite has it's bathtub in the room next to the bed on a podium! The heartfelt welcome by Signora Gabriella was a start to an u forgettable stay at the Borgo. We immediately felt at home and could wind down in no time. Needless to say that the Suite was amazing, the mix of modern and traditional furniture was perfect! We had dinner at their Ristorante, bei g papmpered during the entire evening? The food is excellent and so is their wine selection.
The Borgo is very quietly located, and next time we will come back in summer to make use of the pool and garden too. Breakfast is served in the cellar, the buffet offers a great selection of piedmontese specialties..a treat again.

Room Tip: If you really want to treat yourself and your hubby right, book the Suite

I was touring Italy and France for 10 days along with a group of friends. Our stay at Borgo Ramezzanna was the best stay of all! Our experience in the country house was remarkable! A wonderfull reception, fine accomodations and delicious meals. Gabriella and Sabrina planned the entire holiday for us making winery and restaurant reservations. The local chef was able to accomodate all our needs including a delicious rissotto made with truffles bought by us at a local market. We also enjoyed Graziano’s coffee, breakfast and wine advice.
Hope we can come back next year...!

The rooms are very comfortable and immaculately clean (with excellent pillows - quite a rarity in Italy). The food is wonderful - delicious local and home grown produce is featured. The Borgo is in the middle of Italy's rice growing district and Milan, Turin, Asti and Biella are all within comparatively easy reach. The truly special aspect of this hotel is the staff who are absolutely charming. We had a memorable stay.

We called in to this hotel by chance, having been recommended it for lunch by the owner of a
"grangia" near Lucedio. Although a first communion lunch was being held in one of the function rooms, we were given a warm welcome and a very tasty lunch out in the garden, under the pararsol. The atmosphere of the whole place was charming and peaceful, the views across the Po valley to the Monferrato hills wonderful.
The owner told us that the family had spent nearly ten years restoring the property and turning it into a hotel full of character. It had also once been a working "grangia", a farm cultivating mainly rice, and there is a small brick tower at the corner of the building. We were invited to have a look at the accommodation which has beautiful bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, in one the bath is raised up on a brick dais! Original brickwork and frescoes remain, and the furniture is also in keeping with the décor.

The Borgo Ramezzana has not long been open and deserves to be appreciated. It is within
easy driving distance of Vercelli, Casale Monferrato and Chivasso.
