I keep my horses just up the road from the pub, and had a few meals here now,its perfect I dont need to get out of my horsey clothes just to have some grub and good grub at that!! The 1st evening meal I had here I really wanted the salmon off the everyday menu but unfortunately they had run out :( but with no trouble at all the lady (owner I think) asked if id like cod instead all I can say is wow!!! It was huge :) I was that awful fussy customer who wanted to chop and change everything but nothing was too much trouble and it was greatly appreciated. Although the outside area isnt huge inside is just perfect cute homley comfortable pub. If only I lived in the village not in town id be here every evening. Thank you very much im sure were be back very soon

During a recent trip to Truro to visit the inlaws we decide we would go further a field to explore the Cornish villages and stumbled across this place for dinner. We arrived and it was busy but they found us a table despite us not booking. The service was very friendly and bar very comfortable. There were a number of specials on the day we visited as well as the normal menu. All of us chose something from the specials board - lasagne, rack of ribs, pork dish and fish pie- all of us were pleased with the food and my mother in law said it was the best meal she has had out for a long time! It's not cheap but reasonably price for the area and the portion sizes. If you're in the area it's definitely worth a visit!

Visited a couple of times this year so far and have not had a bad meal yet. Always a good selection of beer and the same friendly faces. Only thing I can say is the specials do run out so get there early to be sure you get what you want, otherwise there is a good and varied selection from the main menu.

Hope to eat here again towards the end of the year.

Stopped here for a beer and was very impressed by all the staff. Good range of beers behind the bar and while I did not it the food did look very good and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. It was good to see the locals and the tourists were treated the same - everyone was made to feel welcome....
