We went there last april and stayed in one of the new apartments (one floor had kitchen and a living room, and the other one the bedroom, badroom, and a cozy balcony with a table set). Everything was new, very clean and thoughtfully arranged.

We had a wonderful stay, the weather was rainy though during that weekend (April), so unfortunately we could not visit the valley, but instead we went to the saturday market and bought some genuine italian food (There are great traditional food shops in Domodossola, like a ravioleria with fresh pasta, fresh bread and some shops specialized in Salami and cheese of excellent quality). In the market there are also grocery stands, and the people there was so helpful that it was no problem that we did not speak italian. The feeling in Domodossola was a small village with still an authentic soul. Later on we cooked the food in our small kitchen (everything was provided so we could cook, also oil and salt). Daniela and max were very welcoming and charming. They came to pick us up to the train station and brought us back, the B&B is a bit out of the town, which we appreciated because of the views and the peace. They showed us to get to the train (one stop) and got to the B&B by feet, also there was no problem to go by taxi (costs 10 euro to Domodossola, but if Daniela or Max are on the way to town, they will gladly drive you by at no cost).

When we asked, they recommend us to go to a special restaurant close by (2 min by car), Divin Porcello, with typical food from the area, which resulted to be delicious! The salamis that they have are from their own production, and also the meat (over stone or filleto) was of excellent quality.

Breakfast was good, with fresh normal coffee or espresso. Also there were fresh bread rolls and croissants, nutella, butter and mermelades. Cereals and cookies were also available, and there was also a big piece of cake, typical from the area, made of bread, milk and risings ... which looked uncommon, but resulted to be very tasty :)

The bed and breakfast is full of details and Daniela and Max take really care of it, so the guests feel special and comfortable. Definitely we will come back, and visit the natural surroundings next time (there are many possibilities in the area).

The artful restoration and view over the Ossola valley gives this bed and breakfast a charm that is second only to that of hosts Daniela and Max. From our warm welcome to amazing breakfast the next morning, our stay was nothing short of enchanting. I would recommend this to anyone willing to stay a little bit outside of the town center.

Tip: it is not straightforward to arrive via public transportation. It would be advisable to get off at Masera station, or better to take a taxi from Domodossola. It might also be possible to arrange a pick-up by the wonderful hosts.
