We've been going to the Thimble for over 12 years and it just keeps getting better. Sunday Roast was absolutely fantastic - beautifully cooked tender but rare roast beef, great yorkshire, roast pots, carrot & swede mash, red cabbage, medley of spring cabbage, peas and french beans, and gravy of course, Really excellent and we shared a treacle tart with clotted cream afterwards. 10/10! Wow! The Thimble in Piddlehinton serves the best Sunday lunch, home cooking, excellently cooked roasts with a wide variety of vegetables all creatively cooked e.g. braised red cabbage, creamed leeks. Nothing was too much trouble and Emma Jane was so attentive to a lunch booking we are making for February. Everyone has to visit here.

We have just returned from the most lovely Sunday lunch at The Thimble - our friends arranged it all and we were so impressed! The service was excellent, the pub so comfortable and the food ABSOLUTELY delicious. We all had roast beef - cooked to perfection and the most delicious vegetables, all quite unusual. The puddings were lovely too, as was the bottle of Malbec!.. between the four of us!

Firstly the pub is beautiful in its own rights so to admire it on entering it has the wow factor.

Then there's the food! I struggled to pick a starter because they all sounded great.... 3 vegetarian options. The main course was a lot harder as the choices were not dishes I'd usually pick but and this is a big but...i picked the goats cheese salad. It was faultless, full of flavour and enjoyed the tasty chunks of warm beetroot, courgettes and peppers.

Really great food, was too full to try a dessert.

The service was commendable, lovely friendly staff. Thank you.

Thank you for your kind words, we are so pleased you enjoyed your roasted vegetable & goats cheese salad, it has been a very popular dish, next time skip the starter and try one of our desserts. They are all very scrummy too.

We look forward to welcoming you back to The Thimble
