I was here with my children for lunch about 10 years ago, and came back with my husband last month on our way from the Cliffs of Moher. It hadn't changed a bit! It's a fun pub with very good food and great music - we heard an incredible fiddler and some other musicians. A not-to-miss if you're anywhere in the area.

We arrived on a bus tour of the Cliffs of Moher. The interior of the pub is dark and while we were there they were burning peat so there was an unusual but not offensive odor. You order at the bar and the food is delivered to you. Don't order the set menu sandwiches - they consist of two pieces of white bread, butter, and one slice of chicken or ham or cheese. Try the fish and chips or the beef stew. They were delicious. The serving staff is efficient but they do not linger to chat with you.

Despite our disappointment at missing out on some more local music we really liked this "proper" pub.

The surroundings are quite dark but befitting of the olde worlde interior and the staff are helpful and friendly. It was fairly quiet being a cold November night but I'm sure the atmosphere is fantastic on a music night.

We had Guinness, naturally, and a really good pub meal. The beef & Guinness stew was , as you'd expect, absolutely delicious and the black pudding with my pork dish were the softest i've had for years.

At 36 euros for it all it's pretty good value and a resoundingly hearty pub meal.

Just a great authentic pub experience where we met a lot of friendly locals and travelers alike. The food varied from good to great we look forward to going back...
