We purchased our tickets at the Tourism Office in Doolin. Claudia was very helpful and stayed past closing time to get us our tickets. We weren't quite sure which island to visit with our daughter. She talked that through with us and guided us to the best choice. The ferry ride was enjoyable and it was a great day trip!

The staff at Doolin2Aran were wonderful. We were just getting our feet wet (okay, pun intended) having flown into Shannon only that morning and they were not only there to answer questions, but would come up and ask if there was anything they could do to help if you happened to be standing on the dock with a quizzical look on your face. The tide was out and the big boat couldn't get into the pier so they took the passengers out in smaller boats. With other tours operating out of the same slip (there's only one), it had plenty of potential to get messy, but with years of experience and what I came to learn is near universal Irish friendliness and courtesy, it came off without a hitch. We went out to Inis Oirr, walked around the island and ate lunch, and then came back by the Cliffs of Moher. The whole thing was great.

Since we had vouchers we used this ferry company for an hourlong cruise past the Cliffs of Moher and the following day we took a half day trip to Innis Oirr. Since the ferries are reliant on the tides it is recommended to get there at least 15 minutes earlier. The crew was professional and courteous and both trips went off without incident. On our return from Innis Oirr it was during low tide so a smaller boat comes out to shuttle the passengers back to the pier as the water is too shallow for the larger ferry. Due to this and weather conditions, be aware that none of the ferries operate on an exact schedule and allow extra time both ways when planning a trip to the Aran Islands.

There was a bit of a wait for us at Doolin Pier as the Tourist Office told us to be there 45 minutes in advance, although Doolin Ferries seem quite relaxed about this, they told us to be there 15 minutes before boarding. We were at Pier just over an hour before we sailed off. Cost is 20 Euros and although a little bit pricey for the average tourist, because the view has a wow factor anyway, it was great to travel alongside the Cliffs of Moher and see them in their natural beauty close-up. The weather really helped, sun shone so brightly all day, which added to the experience. The staff on board were very friendly, especially Donie. Thank-you for a very memorable trip on board.

I got the ferry to Inis Oirr with Doolin2Aran ferries recently. buying the ticket, I thought their staff service was nice and friendly, their rates were reasonable and was perfectly happy with the service. I boarded the ferry - and just as the ferry was about to take off, one of the office-guys came sprinting up the pier, shouted at the guys to pause the launch, and then gave them a set of keys pointing to me. Turned out I'd left my car keys at the desk!! lovely people who literally went the extra mile! I'm definitely going to give them my custom again in future.
