“Great Family Hotel”
Reviewed April 25, 2014

We stayed for three nights in the run up to Easter and were really delighted with the hotel. There are about 17 rooms, so it is really a large B&B, but it has a lovely reception, clean comfortable rooms and great staff throughout.
It is connected to Fitzpatrick's pub (who own it), but the way it's built means that there is no noise issue at all.
Fitzpatrick's does nice lunch/dinner, but the real winner for us was the breakfast each day. It was superb. Eggs Benedict, Florentine, Fresh Pastries, Irish Breakfasts etc. All in all just wonderful!
And of course, it is bang in the middle of Doolin, so location wise it is perfect for the Cliffs of Moher, the Aran Islands, The Doolin Cave and the Burren

First the staff at the hotel was outstanding - and like most people in Ireland very friendly and accomodating. The hotel itself - was just really average. The common areas - for whatever reason smelled like cats. The rooms were good in size but the shower was so narrow you always had the shower curtain touching you - which is a little icky.

The breakfast ordered was again average - with the fresh fruit at the buffet - all dried fruit.

There is a pub in the hotel which is also wildly average - I would suggest trying other restaurants.

Although short, we had a wonderful stay at Hotel Doolin. The staff was very accommodating and polite. We had three in our family and the room was more than spacious. The accommodation was clean and the beds very comfortable. The hotel is a short walk from most restaurants and shops. Upon arrival we had fresh cupcakes waiting in our room and upon leaving a fresh loaf of brown bread was offered. Breakfast is a full buffet with warm Irish breakfast available. I wouldn't hesitate to stay at the Hotel Doolin the next time we're visiting the area.

The village of Doolin is the objective of pilgrimage for aficionados of traditional Irish music (not to mention the embarcadero for trips to the Aran Islands.) Several atmospheric pubs offer live music nightly, at least in season. Consequently, for a small town Doolin offers a surprising number of lodging options.
Among these, I wholeheartedly recommend Hotel Doolin. This establishment is not steeped in tradition, with dark, creaky stairs and single-pane windows painted shut. No, it's less than 10 years old -- and conveyed, to my mind, the sense of being somewhere in Scandinavia, with its modern, comfortably furnished bedrooms and sparkling baths. The rooms are reasonably priced and come with full Irish breakfast in the attached restaurant, and ample parking in the hotel's own lot. The staff were refreshingly friendly and helpful, particularly as I waited anxiously for golf clubs to catch up to the rest of my luggage. (In Doolin you are only a 20-minute drive from the superb links at Lahinch.)
You'll be completely comfortable and content with a stay at Hotel Doolin.

We stayed at this Hotel in January of 2014, and it was very pleasant. The front desk was very helpful with directions, and there were sweets and warm wine in the Lobby area. They were remodeling, and doing reconstruction but the staff made sure that we were in a room where we never heard any of the work being done unless we were in the lobby itself.

The breakfast was nice. The restaurant that the hotel offers is amazingly delicious, and the Dooliner beer that they recommend is one of the best beers I have ever tasted. I would stay at this hotel again. The only thing that we did not like was that when you put the card into the slot for electricity, it would have a buzzing noise that was inconvenient when we were trying to sleep. So we had to get up and remove the card and then put it back in when we woke up and wanted to use the lights. Not that big of a deal at all. Close to all the attractions and restaurants. Over all, great stay.

From the reception we got, to nice touches in the rooms, the food, bar, breakfast and staff it was really good. Helpful Clare in Tourist Information made the best recommendations we could ask for and we benefitted from it.

I just wanted to leave a little note to thank hotel Doolin for such a wonderful time when we stayed there last month.
We travelled in a group of 25 and everything went wonderfully ,the food was fantastic ,we all had dinner there which was absolutely divine.
Those of us who made it to breakfast were very impressed with selection of fresh and cooked breakfast.
The rooms were spotless and they even had lovely 'voya 'products in the bathroom.
All of the staff were more than helpful ,and the overall service was brilliant .
Thanks for a wonderful time ,can't wait to return.
