A couple of us stayed at Hotel Doolin last weekend and had a lovely time from start to finish - would highly recommend. The hotel were a pleasure to deal with over the phone/email in advance of our trip, and the warm welcome we received, complete with complementary cupcakes and being escorted to our room by the receptionist, was delightful. The room was lovely with nice local Irish Voya toiletries products which was lovely to see. A group of my pals were staying in sister Tír gan Éan House Hotel next store and we all ate in the Hotel Doolin restaurant. Starter, main course & desert were all delicious - nearly all 16 of us remarked on it. Service was also excellent. Breakfast the following morning was also delicious. The scenery around Doolin is beautiful and we'll definitely be coming back - thanks Hotel Doolin and Tír gan Éan House Hotel for a great time!

Interesting strip mall with pub and one end and hotel at other end with travel agency, dining room and deli in between. Microbrew celebration in courtyard that was going until midnite with electric music and renovation going on that gave the hallways a toxic smell that mixed poorly with the chlorine odors emanating from the service laundry on first floor. Poorly staffed, but pub had great irish music with mediocre food, though locally sourced according to menu. Never did see the real Doolin leaving in the rain in AM did not wish to drive the 2 km into town.

Stayed here for 1 night. The rooms were spectacularly clean and comfortable. I had a lovely conversation with Caroline the housekeeper and it was lovely to talk to someone with local knowledge. We ate in the bar and it was yummy. Music was great too.

Nice hotel with friendly staff. Attached pub was great for food and Music and they serve a bitter called Dooliner which is really good. Breakfast was excellent.
We used this Hotel as a stopover so we could do the Arran Islands etc.
Only 1 issue in that the electric fuse box in our room made an annoying buzzing noise that appeared to get louder the longer the power was on in the room. Mentioned it to reception who said that all the rooms were the same and other people had mentioned it as well. So change the fuse boxes out to better quality ones cos this really started to annoy me after a while.

I stayed there for two nights. Receptionist was very welcoming and showed us to our room which was very near reception. The room was a nice size and the beds were comfy. Two delicious cupcakes were left in our room so we had them with tea, which was a nice touch. Doolin itself is a lovely village I hadn't been there for a long time and it is still a great lively place. Breakfast was great and filled us up for the whole day. I have to say that the staff were lovely and a great asset to the hotel. When we were leaving we were given some of the brown bread to take home again this was a nice gesture.
My only negative comment is that there was a smell in the room which may have been smoke or I don’t know what it was I know they are non-smoking rooms as was pointed out by receptionist when we told her.

Thank you for your review of Hotel Doolin. I am glad that you enjoyed your stay with us and found our staff to be our greatest asset. We pride ourselves on service excellence and it is always good to get feedback on it. Apologies for the smoke smell in your room, indeed we have a non-smoking policy in the hotel and we try very hard to make sure that guests adhere to this policy.

I recently spent one night at Hotel Doolin. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. The rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean. There is also a lovely surprise of two delicious fresh cupcakes beside the tea/coffee tray. There are two bottles of water one sparkling and one still which is great to have as there isn't a corner shop to hand. The bathroom is large with a bath. There is dried seaweed for sale (pack already included in your room) for the option of a seaweed bath in the privacy of your own bathroom.

We ate in the hotel bar. The bar is very busy but service was quick once we were seated. The menu was somewhat limited but the quality of the food is excellent.

Breakfast is served in the dining room, there is an array of freshly baked scones, breads and pastries, fresh fruit and juices from the self service area. On the hot menu there is are options to cater for all tastes from the traditional Irish breakfast to porridge to pancakes, all cooked fresh to order.

Overall the experience was very positive. The food was great and beds very comfy.
