We had 2 rooms and neither had hot water. We reported it and were told we were the only ones with a problem, I had the very nice receptionist come to our room to see if it was us and she acknowlwdged it was tepid-- i said would you like to shower in that? No was the reply. Then the water turned brown. They had to turn off the water to fix a problem. Found the plumber in the pub he said he had it fixed. -- but still no hot water. Poor night manager had to go down to the basement and check something -- came back we had water but our other room did not . They did apoligize and gave us a discount but their maintenace man was on vacation for 3 weeks we were told - not good planning in the peek of the season. Next time we will stay else where

Arrived late after a wet windy time at Cliffs of Moher. Looking forward to a hot shower, but not in our room. Three inquiries and two hours later, nobody around that could look into the problem. Finally got hot waterTried to get on wi-fi/broadband, never could get it to work; front desk mentioned she had been having problems.

Atmoshpere - average, trying too hard to be interersting. Loud canned music piping through the lobby, etc. Restaurant - looked at it for dinner, but passed - boring menu, really lacked any panache. Good thing we went to another local restaurant - it was fantastic. Breakfast was average.

For the most expensive lodging in Doolin, really not worth it. Reminded me of a Holiday Inn trying too hard to be interesting. Just didn't have the normal attention to service or hospitality that I became accustomed to in most of Western Ireland.

I hosted my sister's Swan party with 35 ladies in Hotel Doolin during 14 - 16 June 2013. From the beginning the hotel was so responsive and then we arrived to a wonderful warm welcome. The service was excellent from beginning to end. Although the Hotel was hosting the Doolin Folk Festival the same weekend in conjunction with the Gathering the entire staff knew of our party and couldn't do enough for us. Complimentary cupcakes and Dooliner beer vouchers were left in our rooms not to mention a half loaf of brown beard was gifted to each lady on their departure. The hotel went the extra mile for us. We dined with the Hotel on both nights (Fitzeers bar on Friday and the Chevril Resto on the Saturday night). On both occasions the food was delicious and the service was excellent.

I would highly recommend a stay in Hotel Doolin when visiting the Burren, Cliffs of Moher. It's a beautiful part of the West of Ireland.

Raquel Noboa, the reception manager was exceptional and professional throughout our stay.

I had the pleasure to stay in the Doolin Hotel over the weekend, along with a large group of family and friends, for my daughter's wedding. It's a great place, modern and well thought out. Lovely spacious comfortable bedrooms and nice dinng areas with good quality food.
For quite a smal hotel, they have so many facilities on hand, including their own pub next door, a pizzeria, a travel agent, their own micro-brewery with great Doolininer Beer, plus a wide selection of other Irish craft beers. They make their own tasty and healthy dark bread (using some of their beer, I heard), and even invited guests to take a loaf away with them on leaving.
They have their own polytunnel and grow many of their own vegetables....how many other establishments do that?
The manager and staff are so friendly and helpful, and always efficient.
But I heard so many of our friends talk about the little extra touches that they add...........like the lovely cup cakes that awaited us in our rooms on arrival. Simple extras that mean a lot.
Thank you all so much for helping to make my daughter's (and her new husband's, of course) wedding such a pleasant occasion.
Lovely marquee, by the way.

Room Tip: One of our party was on crutches. They facilitated him with a lovely room on the ground floor, close...

I've been coming to this hotel since it first opened, and it has just got better and better. The staff are really friendly and helpful, we couldnt have felt more welcome. Just little things like free tickets to the hotel festival (which is amazing), little cup cakes in our room, and the most fantastic breakie I had in my stay in Ireland. Spacious modern rooms, with clean bathrooms full of yummy toiletries just makes all the difference. Theres also an attached row of shops attached to the hotel where you can buy Irish homemade food and wines. Well done Hotel Doolin we'll be back year after year now!

Room Tip: I think they are all the same, get up early for breakie it gets busy!
