Owner description: A Stunning Underworld Experience, the Great Stalactite at Doolin Cave is one of Europe's most compelling cave attractions. It is a truly unique and breathtaking experience:- the largest stalactite in the Norhern Hemisphere. Doolin Cave has a Farmland Nature Trail, which is FREE for its visitors. We have unusual breeds of chickens, sheep, cattle and alovely pygmy goat called Minnie, with her little kid called Vincent Van Goat or Vinnie for short. We have also planted lots of native trees and shrubs and wildflower meadows. Our cafe serves lovely fresh salads, soups, breads and homemade cakes We are very proud to announce that we have recently been awarded a Gold Award from Ecotourism Ireland. Hurray!

Well worth the price! The discovery is amazing, the sight is amazing and the guide (and the staff in the cafe/gift shop) was amazing - Definately go!

Concise tour, deep below the surface(no elevator). One of the largest stalactites in the world, and nothing else of note. Really nice history of the cave, a geological rundown, attentive staff. The climb back up 11 stories was a little tougher than going down. Nice café and in all honesty just what we were looking for in a cave experience.
-don't have to wait long for a tour

If you want a bit of exercise, a cool spot and an incredible view, Doolin Cave is it! Be aware that there are 152 steps down... and back up! Our guide, a young, handsome, articulate fellow was very patient with us old folks and very cognizant of our physical abilities. He knew his subject and explained it all very well.

I visited the cave two weeks ago with my 11 year old son who described it as awesome! I too enjoyed the experience and thought it value and money well spent. Before we entered our guide Francis (who was excellent) informed us of the many steps leading down to the cave and the difficult and lengthy process in getting the cave open to the public. When inside Francis was again full of information and very attentive to the fairly large group which was about 15 strong. Would definitely recommend.
