We stayed here with our 3 children (aged 14, 12 and 8) and it was perfect. We had a room with 3 queen sized beds and a large bathroom. We could walk to a couple of pubs and the tourist office. They are friendly and the breakfast is wonderful!!

Excellent location. Free wifi is great to have. Staff friendly and helpful. Apartment was spacious. Was just expecting more as the other reviews were so glowing. But we were self catering so didn't have breakfast or really meet Niall and Deirdre which seem to be what most people are raving about. Would have liked kitchen to be better equipped. Living room quite dark (a lamp or two would make all the difference). Had a lovely week here.

Our family of 5 just returned from the west coast of Ireland for several days. We stayed 2 nights at the Dollin Activity Lodge. We stayed in a 3 bedroom "apartment" that was very wonderful. As a family of 5 it is difficult to find a place not too expensive but still large enough for our family. This apartment was by far the biggest brightest and nicest we have stayed in for an "apartment" style facility. A nice blend of B&B and hotel. No internet in the apartment, but there are computers and internet in the main lobby area which is a few feet away.
The breakfast area was very nice and the staff was very accommodating of the kids request for items not paired together on the menu, i.e can I have eggs, but no sausage and extra bacon.
The owners were very nice and super friendly and we would highly recommend there facility to anyone traveling there.

I had no idea what beautiful suites awaited our traveling party of six in Doolin: a whole apartment to ourselves, complete with a full kitchen, couches, a fireplace (with peat to burn), wireless internet access, and spotlessly clean rooms. Deirdre and Niall have obviously put a great deal of their lives into the place, and they are excellent hosts. The breakfast was our best in Ireland. We heard wonderful music in Doolin, and wished we'd had another month here. The Lodge is definitely a place to spend multiple days.

My two sisters and I recently traveled to Ireland and was recommended the Doolin Activity Lodge for our stay in Doolin. I am so thankful I reached out to the owners Deirdre & Niall! They were so helpful and accommodating! The location was walking distance to the little town and our room was amazing (the best one we stayed in!) The room was spotless, we each had our own queen bed and the shower was wonderful!
For breakfast every morning we ate at the lodge and the menu options were really yummy and hearty. :)

Deirdre even offered to give us a lift to the ferry one morning!

We cant wait to go back!

I would highly recommend it. I've been organising 'a gathering' with friends and we've been getting together to go to the Miko Russel festival the last few years. (which is usually on, in around the 3rd weekend in February, its a hive of activity and great traditional music and song).
This is a family run business and you can't beat meeting people who are genuinely interested in you having a good stay and our experience has been just that...brillant!!
Like the reviewer 'no better place', I'd say I had Deirdre's heart broken from all the room changes, people coming/cancelling, etc and Deirdre was so good and very accommodating with all the chopping and changing.
It's spotless, very comfortable, spacious and has all you need. The place it's self where its situated is beautiful right in the heart of Doolin. Everything is in walking distance, shops, pubs ect.

We'll be back!!
From all who stayed from Limerick, Loais, Galway, Roscommon, Cork, Westmeath and Clare...thank you for a lovely stay.
