My husband and I spent our first night in Ireland at Ashbrook Lodge, and it rightly spoiled us for the rest of our 10-day trip! Olwyn is the perfect B&B hostess and operator; she's friendly, knowledgeable, and we felt "connected" with her immediately. Our spacious room was decorated beautifully with rich maroons and soothing greens, and faced the Atlantic Ocean. We slept wonderfully in a Queen-sized sleigh bed, enjoyed the comfortable sitting area and appreciated the large bathroom and hot shower. It was a delight to come down to Olwyn's delicious breakfasts in the pretty breakfast room. Ashbrook Lodge is the kind of place where you look around you and say "All is right in the world." I can't wait to return. Thank you, Olwyn! I wish I knew the name of the little tea biscuits you had in our room!

Ashbrook Lodge is such a wonderful B & B!!! Olwyn our hostess is an excellent cook, a wonderful host, and a great information provider. The house is beautiful and immaculate, such a homey feel!!! We were soooo happy with Olwyn and her B & B that we will definitely go back there again! A beautiful view of the ocean from the rooms! So close to the cliffs of Moher and the boat cruises to the Aran Islands!! The pubs/restaurants are 1 min drive or 15 minute walk. We looked at every single B & B in the area and we were so elated that we chose Ashbrook Lodge! I would totally recommend this B & B as a 5 star stay! Thank you so much Olwyn for the best B & B stay ever!!

Ashbrook Lodge is truly a hidden gem. It is located right outside the tiny but famous town of Doolin. Since the B&B is located on top of a gentle hill, all three rooms have amazing views of the Atlantic Ocean and Aran Islands, not to mention the beautiful countryside.

Olwyn was a wonderful host; the best we had in our trip to Ireland. She was friendly, extremely helpful, and gave us great advice on what to do in the area. She has two beautiful children, who helped us get checked in, and after that, we never saw or heard them. The breakfast was also my favorite in Ireland, and I want to try making the Irish pudding myself because it was so good!

The room was surprisingly spacious and new, with very nice furnishings and lots of room for our things. The bed was especially comfortable with lush bedding. What we enjoyed the most was the quiet - we were looking for a relaxing place to unwind and enjoy peace, and this was the place.

You can either walk or drive to Doolin for dinner and to listen to the traditional Irish music. We chose to walk, and are glad we did, because that was our favorite part of our stay. It is about a relaxing 20-minute walk through the beautiful countryside. When we got to Doolin, we were shocked at how small the town is. We went to McGann's Pub, one of the three famous for the Irish music, for a Guinness, but then decided to move on to The Roadford House for dinner. I would definitely recommend the food at The Roadford house - it was one of the best dinners we had in Ireland, but it is pretty expensive; our bill was around E100. The walk back to The Ashbrook Lodge was equally as nice, and we were glad we brought our flashlight. Although Ireland stays light out until 11pm in June, if you are out past that, it becomes quite dark in the middle of the countryside.

Overall, I highly recommend The Ashbrook Lodge to anyone and everyone. We felt it was a true, authentic Irish experience to stay in the country with an Irish family. It was amazingly peaceful, and the B&B itself is simply beautiful. The best part is the incredibly affordable prices! We will definitely stay there again on our next trip to Ireland.

It was our first trip to Ireland. The Ashbrook Lodge and Olwyn, made our first stop memorable. Her breakfasts were delicious and filling. She gave us ideas on what we might like to see and visit in the area. Her suggestion to eat at McGann's for dinner was excellent. Her rooms were large and comfortable. The location of the B&B is quiet and only a 15 minute walk to the heart of Doolin. First rate service and our most pleasurable stay while we were in Ireland.

This B&B is outstanding. The house is completely new and very clean. Rooms are large with beautiful interior, everything is in good taste. Large beds. Warm house. We spent a great night there!
The house has magnificent view from the windows to the Atlantic Ocean and Aran islands.
This B&B is situated in a quiet place just 8 km from the famous Cliffs of Moher. Doolin town is just 2 min drive and has excellent pubs with Irish music.
Very hospitable and friendly hostess, young Lady.
In the morning full Irish breakfast was also excellent.
We really enjoy our staying at this cosy house.
Again, many thanks to Olwyn!
God bless You and Your family!
