“Beyond our wildest expectations!”

This cottage was absolutely perfect for us in every way. It was comfortable, extremely clean, well furnished, plenty of space for four sisters, a spectacular view, cozy and charming. Marian and Frank Sheedy, owners, were cheerful, attentive, extremely helpful and easy to work with. The views - morning, daytime, sunset, and night time were absolutely stunning with the Atlantic, Aran Islands, Cliffs of Moher, the Burren and magnificient stars at night. We saw several birds native to Ireland with a Willie Wagtail greeting us on our first morning from atop the stone fence outside the sunroom window.
We could not have been happier in this peaceful place.
ps Frank's basket of scones, bread, and candy (all homemade) delivered to us upon arrival were heavenly.

“Wonderful Stay”

We rented the cottage for a week in September, and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The rooms are spacious, the living room cosy and the kitchen had everything needed. The views are beyond stunning, especially one evening when we got to experience the most amazing sunset we've ever seen. It was miraculous; a sky of gold that merged into purples.
While the house is not within walking distance to the pubs and restaurants in Doolin, it's a quick drive into town.
The lovely gesture of homemade brown bread, scones, and fudge on arrival was so welcoming, and we spent some lovely mornings in the sun room drinking our coffee, chatting and watching the Atlantic ocean waves crashing over the rocks.

We had an amazing time during our stay at Fuschia cottage, and look forward to returning again soon. Thank you so much!!

“Perfect Gathering Place For Family and Friends”

My Irish husband and I rented Fuschia Cottage for practical reasons - its location, size, reputation and its sister house, Wildberry Cottage, made it the ideal pick for a family reunion with kids, grandkids and extended family. We did not, however, have any idea that the cottage would be so spacious, beautiful, well equipped and have the most breathtaking views over Galway Bay and the Conamara Mountains. Frank and Marian Sheedy were ideal hosts and thought of everything for us - all we had to do was buy groceries and collect the key. The beds were comfortable, showers excellent, wifi worked well, washer and dryer very handy and a basket of scones, homemade brown bread and fudge were waiting for us when we arrived. Allwee and Doolin Caves, Pitch and Putt, Aran Boat Rides, the Cliffs of Moher, the Moher Animal Farm, the Rock Shop and many more family places were within a few minutes drive. Kids played happily in the green lawns adjoining the house while grownups drank tea and chatted in the conservatory, dining area and around the kitchen table. Great Holiday! Thank you Marian and Frank Sheedy! We'll be back!

The house is in a beautiful location overlooking the ocean and burren. We enjoyed our morning coffee in the sun room with a beautiful view. It is located outside of Doolin and takes 5-10 minutes to get to town. The house itself is spacious and well appointed in every way. While we did not cook anything except breakfast, the kitchen is well equipped. Frank and Marian are great hosts and their home made our stay in Ireland very special for our entire family.

Beautiful, comfortable cottage with amazing views of the Aran islands, Cliffs of Moher and Galway bay with the Twelve Bens mountains in the background. All from the front yard! You cannot top that. Easy drive into Doolin. A great base to explore the Burren, Galway, Connemarra and County Clare in general. Or, you could just sit on the enclosed porch and soak up the views. Great sunsets and we had three rainbows the morning we left for a perfect send off. Frank and Marian are wonderful hosts. Be sure to dine at their restaurant the Roadford House in Doolin. Delicious.

This was our third trip to the lovely Fuschia Cottage. It never fails to amaze us with its wonderful views and great owners, Frank and Marian. Have now stayed in several places throughout Ireland and can say without a doubt that Fuschia Cottage and Doolin are our favorite. Would explain why it is we have come back three years in a row!! They have the BEST beds!! So comfy after hiking the Burren, horseback riding or our favorite pastime, dancing at the wonderful pubs in Doolin. Can imagine we will be back next year!!
