Description: Hotel Doolin's Fitzpartick's Bar, famous for it's traditional Irish music, lively sessions, thirst quenching pints and wholesome food is popular with both residents and locals alike. Fitzpatrick's Bar is as much a part of the vibrant experience of Doolin as it is of the hotel itself. With its polished panelling, natural stone and open fire it offers a calm and relaxed setting during the day while at night it transforms into a lively bar with entertainment. The Bar is split into two sections. Fitz's Snug is our cosy front bar with an open fire, ideal for relaxing with a cool pint whilst listening to our live Trad sessions. The much larger back bar is perfect for parties and live bands. There are a number of local and Irish beers available in Fitzpatrick's Bar including:•Eight Degree - Sunburnt Irish Red•Eight Degree - Knockmealdown porter•Eight Degree - Howling Gale Ale•Galway Hooker•Helvick Gold blonde Ale•Blackrock Irish Stout•Copper Coast Red Ale

We read the food was good, and they had Irish music starting at 7pm. The music was American easy listening, but switched to Irish traditional as we were leaving.

Seafood curry was great, my burger was above average. Large portions, look out!

We enjoyed a delicious fisherman's pie, the best mussels I ever ate, and an evening of traditional music that had everyone hopping. The dessert parfait - not worth it. The people watching, yes! It may not be 100% authentic, but it feels like it is. Catch the music if you can.

I've eaten and enjoyed a Guinness or two or three several times at Fizpatrick's. The service and the food has been very good each time. Sometime before my last visit which was earlier this month (June 2013), they have made a few changes which I would prefer were not made. But still the food and live music were good.

Fitzpatrick's was a nice pub in the center of Doolin. Given it's location, I think it attracts tourists, where some of the other pubs give a more local flavor. Drinks here were more expensive than the other pubs we tried. They do have an outdoor patio, which when the weather cooperates, is a lovely place to sit and have a pint. All in all, not bad ... but not the best true Irish pub experience.

A quaint pub, adjacent to Hotel Doolin...warm and inviting. We enjoyed the best mussels and traditional music all night long.
