Description: Hotel Doolin's Fitzpartick's Bar, famous for it's traditional Irish music, lively sessions, thirst quenching pints and wholesome food is popular with both residents and locals alike. Fitzpatrick's Bar is as much a part of the vibrant experience of Doolin as it is of the hotel itself. With its polished panelling, natural stone and open fire it offers a calm and relaxed setting during the day while at night it transforms into a lively bar with entertainment. The Bar is split into two sections. Fitz's Snug is our cosy front bar with an open fire, ideal for relaxing with a cool pint whilst listening to our live Trad sessions. The much larger back bar is perfect for parties and live bands. There are a number of local and Irish beers available in Fitzpatrick's Bar including:•Eight Degree - Sunburnt Irish Red•Eight Degree - Knockmealdown porter•Eight Degree - Howling Gale Ale•Galway Hooker•Helvick Gold blonde Ale•Blackrock Irish Stout•Copper Coast Red Ale

So, we walk the whole little town looking for pubs and come back next to our hotel to Fitz's. What a great and lucky move. First there was a solo guy, singing traditional songs. He was great, then a trio of young musicians come and play, flute, violin, guitar, and they were just terrific. That's the 'background' of this cozy pub with great food. All I heard was how food is not all that good in Ireland. This is total bull crap, the food every where we went was amazing for 11 days straight, Fitz's was no exception. The tower of seafood... aaah...I'm still thinking about it. Chicken breast, mmmm, fish... Really, I tried like 5 meals because I have kids, and they hardly eat, and I benefit! There seemed to be 3 people waiting on us, all were funny, witty, and helpful. You really can't do better. I mean that sincerely, down to earth people, great food, great music.

Had a couple of pints of the black stuff in this nice pub. Music was good and great to catch music playing during the week. Staff need to join in a little more but otherwise worth a visit.

We only had time to stop in here one evening for some live music. The atmosphere was great and the layout is very open, so there was plenty of seating and standing room where you could see the musicians.

This will be the first place you find in Doolin, turn right and keep looking another km. They're set up for tour busses coming through. The menu posted outside looks deceptively good. When you get inside the food is a buffet line and the sandwiches are prepackaged. Spent €5 on a stale lettuce and tomato sandwich on white bread.

Stopped here on Thursday night for dinner. We weren't acknowledged at the door, so wandered in until we food seating. Confirmed with passing staff that table was open. Probably 20 minutes before we were even offered a menu, another 10 before a waiter came by for drinks. Had to ask to order dinner and then were given a check while we were hoping for dessert. Food was delicious and hot when it came, but we repeatedly had to flag down our waiter.
