Our "first" stay in Ireland was at the Sea View House in lovely Doolin. Darra and Niall were welcoming hosts and the room was comfortable and clean. We especially enjoyed the fact that what wound up to be our "favourite" pub,Gus O'Connors, was a very short walk from "home." Darra was very helpful in advising what to see and also what not to see. We both loved our trip to Doolin and Sea View House and hope to visit in the near future.

THE perfeck weekend break. Fly into Shannon, early sat pick up a car and drive to Doolin. sea view house is a good overnight choice. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The owners are very friendly and a good source of local knowledge.
we sat on the decking to sup a bottle of wine before the nights entertainment. It is only a view of the sea which is some distance away. The house is well situated for the walk to about 4 pubs all who have live music playing.
The pub had patrons from around the world and all were out for a great time which gives the place a liverly atmosphere.
Sunday a drive around the Burran and home on the evening flight.

Darra and her family were so nice. Very friendly, welcoming, hospitable. Made us feel right at home. Food was excellent, accomodations were very nice, clean, quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed the little town of Doolin and enjoyed visiting the Cliffs of Moher, just a few miles down the road, ate dinner at a local pub that was so much fun.

This house was on a hill overlooking the lovely town of Doolin. We arrived a couple hours early and were greeted warmly to a quick description of the town and nearby sights, a cup of tea and suggestions regarding the weather and timing of a trip to the cliffs. The room was cozy and clean and the house was a truly unique location. I also enjoyed the Lucy the dog who sat on the breezy lawn watching over the town. Seemed like a good life to have.

We walked to the shoreline and enjoyed the rock formations, and spent the evening at Oconner's Pub. It was perfect.

I have read some negative reviews and can't understand how someone found the facility or owners unsatisfactory, based on our experience we were sad we could only stay for one night. I would highly recommend the Sea View House!

Another superb visit to the very best place to stay in County Clare. A warm welcome awaits and Darra and Niall cannot do enough to make your stay memorable. Their home is welcoming, comfortable, beautifully furnished and the breakfasts are excellent.
Very well positioned too for food, entertainment, shopping and sightseeing, and their local knowledge is invaluable.
We look forward very much to our next visit.

Thanks to Ryanair, we have just returned from our 2nd trip to Doolin and have stayed both times with Darra at Sea View House. Very comfortable and well appointed rooms added to her genuine and friendly Irish reception have again made staying there a pleasure. That, coupled with the great views from the rooms and her suggestions of what to do in the area. One was to visit Doolin Cave, only recently was it opened up to the public and made for a good trip to see the huge stalagtite hanging from the roof of the underground cave. A must do is to visit one, two or all three local bars with nightly music sessions. Darra will advise which is best but we enjoyed them all in one night, including the Guinness & beef stew in O'Connors and McDermotts. Both legendary.
If you like being treated as an individual and a friend, you won't go far wrong at Sea View House.
