I recently stayed at Sea View House with my mother on a mother-daughter trip to Ireland. This B&B was by far one of our favorites and is the place to stay if you'll be anywhere near Doolin.

The B&B has great views, is a short drive to the Cliffs of Moher, and is a very short walk to pubs with live music. If you go in the summer, there is a walk from the B&B to the Cliffs that looked quite enjoyable.

We also stopped at a little Jam shop on the road to the B&B and got some of the best jam I've had in a while.

If Doolin isn't on your list of places to stop while in Ireland, it should be! And the Sea View House is the place to stay. It's obvious that Darra and Niel take excellent care of the home. The rooms are in excellent condition and the rest of the house (including sitting room with fireplace) is impressive.

Darra is an excellent hostess and the small stuff (DVDs to borrow - you won't need them, wine to purchase, a drink when you arrive, to go coffee in the morning) really makes the experience exceptional.

Thanks Sea View House!

The environs and the hosts of Sea View House are excellent! My husband and I are traveling from the states and landed on this goldmine. The setting is beautiful and the location is very convenient. Close to the pier, walking trails and pub life. The food is phenomenal and all freshly prepared. Our hosts went above and beyond - helping with everything from a flat tire, to laundry, to a stomach bug!! We'd come back in a heartbeat!

A great position with easy access to town by foot. The rooms are really well appointed with quality furnishings and up to date fittings. The food is quite amazing. Wonderful breakfasts by the chef. A really nice family running the place and living downstairs. Loads of parking.

My husband and I stayed at Dara and Niall's beautiful home in August 2013 at the very strong recommendation of a friend and were NOT disappointed! In fact, we loved it so much we wished we had more than 2 nights! The rooms were immaculately clean. The view is remarkable. The breakfast - there are no words except I wanted to eat there every morning! From the presentation to the quality and the fact that everything is locally grown, purchased or homemade - just remarkable. Dara and Niall were both incredible hosts and extremely helpful with recommendations on how to spend our day. We will be returning to Ireland and will definitely extend our stay in this charming B&B!!

Room Tip: If possible, request a room in the front of the house for the beautiful view.

From the first step into the B&B to the moment I check out, the experience was wonderful!

As a female traveling solo and with the wind pointing me in my next direction; this was an oasis in the beautifully rugged County Clare. I did not have a reservation anywhere and most B&B's are closed during November. I saw that their sign said vacancy and took a chance. Glad I did!

The B&B is beautiful inside and out. Although I did not take advantage of it (because it was mid-November) the exterior has a gorgeous deck that oversees the town of Doolin, it's small river and the Atlantic.

The interior offers a cozy sitting room with a picture window with the same view as the deck...simply gorgeous! Sitting by the fire place sipping tea and reading on a cold November's day is a luxurious memory that I will cherish. There are a variety of books to borrow and they have a collection of DVDs to watch in your room. Also they offer free WiFi.

The bed rooms are lovely, immaculately clean and spacious (I stayed in rooms 1 & 3). Room 1 offers a king size bed and a single bed along with a view of the town. Room 3 offers a double bed and a single bed with a large sky light and view to the east. Both rooms have a private bathroom.

The location of their B&B is a perfect for day trips to: The Cliffs of Moher, Aran Islands, hiking The Burren, driving the Coast Road.

Thank you Naill for your delicious breakfasts! (Their eggs are from their hens and veggies are from their garden). And thank you Darra for your amazing hospitality!!

I look forward to returning to Doolin and the charm of The Sea View House.

We had the pleasure of staying a night on our way from the Cliffs of Moher this October. Niall and Darra have taken the idea of B and B to a whole new level. The deck overlooking the town and the ocean in the distance is spacious and welcoming. We enjoyed wine Niall brings in from France and a warm fire after sunset in the guest living room. We were able to choose breakfast from a daily menu and the food was truly gourmet. The eggs and vegetables are all picked from the garden and farm daily, and the baking is all homemade..even the yogurt is made fresh. Everything was flavorful and served in a lovely setting. The rooms and ensuite were very clean with flat screen TV's and top quality linens. The rooms were warm and the hospitality even better. The B and B is perfectly located for the hiking trail to the Cliffs of Moher and walking distance to pubs and restaurants in the area. We look forward to a return visit.

We stayed for 5 nights to celebrate our 5th anniversary and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Darra and Niall were very friendly and helpful without being intrusive. The scenery and breathtaking views of the ocean, hills, wildlife and countryside were incredible. Day trips to the Cliffs of Moher, Aran Islands and Galway are all very easy and it's only an hours drive from Shannon. The family was very helpful with ideas for activities and directions to shops, currency conversion, etc. The breakfast was amazing. Not even an unscheduled power outage could put a damper on our stay. Highly recommended and would definitely stay again.
