Susan is the late Gus O'Connor's daughter, and she knows the music scene there very well. Suspect the music in the 3 pubs is professionally organised, (rather than locals dropping by when they feel like it) but it's all the better for that. Some of the musicians are world class. You couldn't find a better place to explore Irish traditional music.

The boat trip to the Aran Islands and the Cliffs is teriffic too.

I loved this place from the moment we arrived, and although it is a difficult choice, it was my favorite B & B out of 3 that we stayed in in Ireland.

Susan is a wonderful host and her out-going personality is very helpful. She made many recommendations to us on arrival in the area, and she offered us tea or coffee. Then she showed us to our lovely room upstairs. The room was very warm and inviting with pine cabinets, and a large tiled bathroom. The linens were high quality and there were large windows to open for circulation.

The breakfast in the sunroom was very nice with the sun coming in and the breakfast was delicious. The gardens outside were also nice to sit outside on a pretty day.

Susan offers internet service for a small fee.

We walked down to the local pub at night and my only regret is not having a flash light for walking home late at night. It was very dark and the pot holes in the gravel road were impossible to see. After a few drinks it is especially difficult, and I almost felt like crawling home !

I only wish we could have stayed more than one night. I would love to return and stay here in the future.

Doolin is a really great little village with great traditional music. Daly's was a really great place to stay while we were there. The turn off on the road to Daly's is easy to miss so be looking! Susan's trip suggestion hand out was really informative and helped us plan our stay around Doolin. I really enjoyed my stay.

Susan Daly is a cheerful and warm hostess, offering a excellent B&B accommodation in proximity to O'Connor's Pub in the southern portion of Doolin. Her home is bright and well maintained, and her tips for touring in the area were well appreciated (particularly regarding the Monk's Cafe in Ballyvaughan, where we had perhaps the best smoked salmon we've ever enjoyed). Susan went out of her way to make reservations for us at the Roadford House Restaurant in Doolin (outstanding!) and also recommended the Lazy Lobster (which we would also highly recommend). Daly's House is a good bet for visting in Doolin.

Susan Daly was very accommodating in getting us checked in early to get over jet lag. The advise of what to visit was greatly appreciated and the food was excellent. Nice setting close to O'Conners Pub (walking distance) with great Trad music.

What can I say that hasn't already been said in previous reviews. My wife and I stayed with Susan for only one day in May 2007 and wished it had been many more. Daly's House is all that it is said to be. The only other thing I would suggest over previous reviews is a short drive down to the Doolin docks at sundown. While you may be giving up a good seat at O'Conner's for the Craic, the sunset over the Aran Islands is spectactular. We will be back.

We arrived at Daly's House(May 16) at about 6P and were greated by Susan the owner. I have been corresponding with her for about 6 mos. and very pleased to meet her. Our room on the second floor has a queen bed, wardrobe, TV, and large bathroom with separate shower from the tub. Very homey. We decided to freshen up and then headed down to O'Connor's Pub...3 mins. walk down the hill (take a small flashlight for the walk back after dark). Ask where the musicians sit, so as to position yourself so you can see them when they start to play (9-9:30P). Had a great lamb stew for dinner. Susan's breakfast areas are charming and the breakfast was wonderful and to order...whatever you wanted. She runs a topnotch B&B and for a great value.
