Whatever the weather you cant go wrong on this trip. The sea was a bit rough so we headed to the very beautiful Inchiquin lake for a paddle,Patrick was so nice and really informative about the area. After we got the hang of going forward, six of us headed around the lake shore and up the river Fergus. Watching the swans and herons skimming the water before taking flight right in front of us was simply stunning. Paddling upstream while ducking under branches and surveying the cows and horses in the adjacent fields was idyllic. i loved every minute of this trip.

We paddled out of Ballyvaughan and explored some of the coastal inlets along the estuary. We saw some great wildlife and beautiful natural scenery. I couldn't believe how quickly the tide came rushing in to fill up the lagoons during our time on the water. Our guide was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about kayaking and the local area. Travelling on a budget this was one of the few activities we actually decided to do and are glad we did. Well worth it.

Having reviewed Tripadvisor prior to my visit to Clare for attractions, I signed up for the sea-kayaking and I wasn't disappointed. Would highly recommend this experience - loved it! Next time I'm in Clare, I will do again.

Our group of six originally signed up for the Sea Kayaking trip, but a few days before we were supposed to go Kelly, Patrick's wife, emailed me to let me know the weather wasn't going to cooperate for sea kayaking. She immediately offered to sign us up for a lake kayaking experience on Inchiquin lake in replace of the sea kayaking; which was very much appreciated after seeing the swells at the cliffs of Moher the next day, yikes!

This was a great time, Patrick was very knowledgeable about safety, the history of the lake and how to deal with the varying levels of kayaking experience within our group. He even towed my lovely mother-in-law up the river when the current was too strong. The wet suits and sprayskirts Patrick provided kept us dry when it started pouring down rain, making it a fun and memorable experience. All in all Patrick was an amazing guide! We would highly recommend this to anyone vacationing to the county Clare area!

Thanks again Kelly & Patrick!
