“A+ & A+ for this B&B”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 12, 2013

Bed: The most comfortable we slept on in our 11 nights. Breakfast: As good or better than any in my 3 trips to Ireland. Add to that its perfect location to all things Doolin and the amazing views, you get a truly enjoyable stay and a desire to stay longer (or at least plan your next trip to Doolin). Knowing what I know now after 2 weeks in Ireland, I wish I had used Doolin as a base for a few days and ventured out from there (not unlike Kinsale in the south). Doll's Cottage would be the perfect temporary home for a few day. Sean was a huge help in planning our day and a scenic drive to our next stop. Staying with Sean and Niahm (sp? sorry) felt like staying with friends or family. We enjoyed every minute of it.

Sean and Niamh were the friendliest and most helpful hosts we had during our trip around Ireland. Sean knew my name before I even stepped out of the car. He gave us helpful tips for our trip to the Aran Islands, and he even mapped out a very detailed scenic route for us to take when we were ready to get back on the road towards our next destination.

The house itself was a very cozy place to stay. The bed was super comfy. The breakfast room is a bright sunny space where we got to meet some of the other guests and have some good conversation with our hosts.

Classic Irish hospitality at its best. We wished we could have stayed for more than one night...

Room Tip: The room on the ground floor next to the guest entrance was ideal for us, so we wouldn't disturb...

We stayed here for two nights Midweek and I can't say enough about Sean and Niamh and the B&b. We loved every minute of our stay and Sean made us feel welcome from the second we arrived. The room was really nice and cosy and the b&b itself is lovely. It has a real home feel to it. Sean gave us great advice on what to do and where to go around the area. Niamh looked after us and made sure the room was okay and gave us a bottle of water for the room. We even got a box of fabulous cakes and brownies which were amazing. The breakfasts couldn't be faulted ,kept us filled til lunch and were delicious . Niamh and Sean really couldn't have done anything more for us. They made our stay in Doolin really enjoyable and we will definitely be back. Highly recommend their B&b. :)

This is the classic B&B experience. The room was adequate and en-suite was small but clean. The location is within a 3 minute walk of one of the best pubs in all Ireland. Sean, the innkeeper, takes this place from4 to 5 stars. His rich history in Doolin and his great love of history make him an invaluable resource for the novice as well as the experienced traveler. He was spot on in his every recommendation -How to best see the Burren, Where to get the best pastry in Doolin, What was the hot entertainment in town tonight, where to go to get the best picture shots- all within the knowledge of Sean. On top of that he is a gourmet chief and the breakfast was superb. Only drawback was small, but internet service was particularly spotty. If you are looking for a great typical B & B with a supercharged host than Doll's cottage is the place.

You stay in Doll's cottage because you want to experiment an Irish B&B, and you will get it all. We arrived at Boolin and found difficulty to find its location, we called the host and clear instructions was given, he has even called back to check we know exactly what he said. The male host really did a great job in telling us best way to travel around cliffs of moher, secret place to eat and what to see! This is priceless, you can't even get this super service if you were to stay in a 5 stars hotel!! Breakfast was delicious, room & toilet is a bit small but it doesn't matter. We have only one complaint, wifi didn't work properly, hope the host can fix it for future visitors. Would recommend to anyone visiting Cliffs of moher!

Doll's was exactly what we had hoped for when planning to stay in an Irish cottage B&B. It's on the edge of the small village of Doolin which was one of our favorite places to stay in all of Ireland & was only a short drive to the Cliffs of Moher. Sean was the key to the stay, just what we imagined when we thought of Irish hospitality. He genuinely enjoyed talking to us, giving us trip advice & he made us the best Irish breakfast we had all trip! He also gave us a room with a view off towards the Cliffs which was nice. At his recommendation, just down the street was our favorite pub from our 11 day trip in Ireland, called O'Connors. Our best pub food dinner & it also had the best traditional live Irish music we heard all trip. You just can't beat the Irish hospitality Sean provides & if you have a chance to stay with him in Doolin, don't miss it!

Doolin is a darling little town with a special pub that gave us our most memorable night in Ireland. Doll's was a cozy complement to our Doolin stay. Sean and Niamh are warm, helpful people and happy to sit and have a chat with their guests. Sean is an amazing cook and as others have said, his breakfast is fabulous. Niamh's brown bread was the best we had on our trip and also she makes magical little scones (reminding myself to write her for the recipe for both). Their house is clean, welcoming and well-appointed. Nice carpet, warm new duvets, and good shower. Great location literally around the corner from O'Connor's pub which is an absolute must-visit - especially on a Sunday where the musicians play from 6pm. We couldn't ask for anything more than we got in Doolin and at Doll's.

Room Tip: I peeked at all 3 and they were equally updated, clean and cozy.
